They all say STOCK UP. Here is WHAT to stock: 1️⃣ WATER About 4 litres per person, per day. A family of 4 for one week = 112 LITRES. 2️⃣ FOOD YOU DON'T HAVE TO COOK Cans, nuts, crackers, baby food if you need it. And a MANUAL can opener. 3️⃣ KEEP THE FRIDGE SHUT Fridge stays cold about 4 HOURS. Full freezer about 48 HOURS. Warm perishables go in the bin. 4️⃣ LIGHT + RADIO Torches, spare batteries, a charged power bank, a battery or hand-crank radio. No internet? The radio still works. 5️⃣ WARMTH, SAFELY Blankets and warm clothes. NEVER use a barbecue, generator or camping stove indoors. Carbon monoxide kills and you can't smell it. 6️⃣ MEDS + HYGIENE Your usual medicine, a first-aid kit, soap, toilet paper, strong bin bags, spare glasses. 7️⃣ CASH + PAPER No power can mean no ATMs and no card payments.
