"This one blew me away." Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton reached a settlement with Sprouts over its use of Produce Max, an EPA-registered antimicrobial pesticide containing hypochlorous acid, in produce misting systems. Under the settlement, Sprouts agreed to stop spraying Produce Max on all produce nationwide and to stop using synthetic antimicrobial pesticides on organic produce. Most shoppers probably never imagined the produce misters could be spraying a pesticide at all. “This is a win-win for everybody, including really the consumer.

I call it "compassion creep". Whether you're talking about welfare, abortion, parole, etc. they keep giving people more and more breaks that end up corrupting the intent of the original laws/rules.
The goal post just keeps moving farther and farther. First it was “EBT is just kids being able to eat. Kids shouldn’t starve cuz their parents are poor” Then it was “EBT should pay for Little Debbie’s because poor kids deserve a sweet treat too” Now it’s “EBT should get you in at the Zoo for basically free because apparently if you don’t see Giraffes you will literally die” Come on guys. What are we doing here

🚨This is insane... Extremist Abdul El-Sayed says his immigration plan includes importing Muslim refugees en masse because we owe it to the world: Reporter: “Would refugees be part of your plan?” El-Sayed: “Absolutely. We as a country owe it to the world to open our doors.”

A rare grove of 200 American chestnut trees, grown from survivors of the early twentieth-century fungal blight and planted in the 1970s at the former Clements State Tree Nursery in Mason County, West Virginia, is set to be bulldozed in November 2026 for a data center, and conservationists are raising the alarm over the loss of one of the country’s most important remaining stands. The mature trees were propagated from rare wild survivors that withstood the blight, and the orchard now functions as a genetic library and a primary seed repository for efforts to restore the species across North America. Clearing it would remove that source material. The threat comes from the multi-billion-dollar Monarch Compute Campus, a development planned for the area to house high-density data centers for artificial-intelligence processing. The facility requires thousands of acres, and the historic tree nursery sits inside the proposed construction footprint. Forestry advocates are asking the developers and state officials to adjust the building boundaries and permanently protect the grove as the conflict between the infrastructure project and the trees continues.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The American Chestnut Foundation updated this story on October 10th, 2026: The 200 chestnut trees are not part of the new Project Tamarack development site, and are not at any risk of being bulldozed for a data center. tacf.org/american-chest…

It's obvious. She's just fighting aging in the same way most rich people do, but the results aren't good. I feel bad for her.

Our "UsedToBe". It "used to be" a wonderful place to live. Not so much anymore. Thanks, Globalists. Your track record, at least, is consistent.
Nearly 50 years ago, I was dragged to Canada from the UK... My step dad born in the UK, was already a Canadian Citizen, having served in the CAF.... Mum, sister and I had to have medicals and TB shots to be accepted. Once we arrived in Canada, we had to have an interview with an immigration lady at the airport, (she was very grumpy and serious). The apartment dad had found for us, had no furniture, except for a used couch, one bed for our parents, and a mattress and a box spring for the two of us... We arrived on a Saturday, dad wanted a home cooked roast on the Sunday, so off to Tower's we went on that first day, to buy a roasting pan and the other bits and bob's mum needed. I was a teenager, I didn't want to be in Canada, my brother, 15 months older then me, and who had been my "hero" through all our moves, didn't come with us at that time. I had no support system, parents were in their 50's and had enough on their plates, so I had to deal with stuff on my own... I hated high school... I moved in with a guy who was 14 years older then me, but still finished high school... anyway, the point of this post is that, dad came to Canada because he LOVED this country so much, he wanted a better life for us all, the UK was already going down hill... If dad were alive today, he would be horrified and so sad at the state of Canada today, I wouldn't be surprised if he were turning in his grave, if he had one... I am so sorry Canada, we tried so hard to keep you safe, we wrote letters, went to protests, and continue to "yell" here on X at the those who are destroying you... We don't know what more to do, except keep your memory alive, so that future generations understand the true heart of you... your beauty, your strength and your goodness...

I think the Gnostics got some important things right, including the lost gospels. A very big hurdle for many Christians to overcome is learning that the Roman Empire edited/hid certain books of the Bible in order to control their citizens.

I'm a Gnostic Christian, we believe the murderous, vengeful, jealous OT god to be a false deity in its entirety. We believe in lost gospels and the Gnostic teachings of Jesus that the Church sought to destroy because it was a threat to their perversion and power. It is the form of Christianity that existed before the Romans or anyone else got a hold of it. Christ isn't Jesus' last name....it means anointed, as in the Christ Consciousness which we are all capable of achieving if we live like him, through his teachings, actions, and example. The True God is not lacking anything, it is the Source for which everything everywhere is taking place all at once. God has no beginning and no end. God does not judge us because He is us. We are reflections of that Conscious Awareness experiencing itself, that's how He is everywhere and knows everything....it's the Universe observing itself. The whole point of this enlightened journey, is to remember that we're all connected....because we are all made from the same Source Consciousness. It is the illusion of separateness that causes suffering....and the alignment needed to end that suffering is found within. *That's* why the Kingdom of God is inside us....we are the microcosm to the macro.

While observing the universe, @NASAHubble caught a galaxy cluster smiling for the camera. 😊 The smile lines are arcs caused by an effect known as gravitational lensing, where massive structures warp spacetime with their powerful gravitational forces and act as a cosmic lens.
