Some truly insane numbers from the Anthropic IPO
The amount of employee-level wealth creation is unprecedented
If you were employee #3000, you're still walking out of this with your life made
Wild that employee #500 at Anthropic will make like $100M from the IPO and he'll still underearn some random bureaucrat in some third tier shithole city in India
Indians will look at this and blame racism
This is Gurgaon sector 31 market road. Look at its pathetic condition, people are forced to live like cockroaches no human dignity. Saini government is a bunch of spineless jokers.

Used DeepSeek v4.1 flash on OpenBot today. Completely free model and astonishingly good
I don't think people realize how good even the cheapest of AI models have become, especially for routine queries and basic research tasks
India is genuinely one of the funniest countries in the world if you're not living in it
Just an endless source of hilarity
After being missold mutual funds, Indians are now being missold bonds as "safe" investments
Every one of my friends is trying to lock in 9-12% bonds and being told that these are perfectly safe because they have AA ratings
Going to blow up hilariously as always
Indian shrinkflation is where they penalize people with poor mental math by making packs in arbitrary numbers like 870g
Disagree
There used to be - pre-AI - perfectly safe paths that would make you reasonably wealthy with low risk
Certificate-maxxing in a regulation-heavy industry (banking, insurance), reputation-maxxing in a clout-heavy industry (software) were safe ways to hit $2-5M nw
Never coast bros
I caught myself nodding off last year
Never again
I'm in my 40s. The most scared/disoriented people in my network are the ones that have the following resume => went to an Ivy League school, went into consulting for Bain or BCG or investment banking for a bulge bracket bank then MBA at Harvard/Stanford and then career progression in high income tech W2 or hedge funds/private equity.
A number of these individuals in the last 5 years have been unexpectedly let go in their early 40s with 2-3 kids in private school and a burn rate they socially struggle to walk away from (kids have close friends now, business connections at the private school their kids go to, living in a high cost location makes it easier to network, etc).
These are the people literally have only been told they are excellent their entire lives and now are in year 3-4 (no exaggeration) of trying to land a new job. Some are willing to "settle" for working for mid 6 figures (some even less) just to cover their burn rate with a young family.
AI probably makes this dynamic happen earlier in one's career going forward for some of these perfect resumes individuals. Good chart from @Jack_Raines in his book Young Money
My X feed is now one 20 minute old tweet, one 21h old tweet, and one quote tweet to a 3 day old tweet
So many websites now have Claudeisms in their microcopy
Really low hanging fruit to fix but no one wants to do it
the Indian minister is touting the collection of taxes from his own people as a win
mfer you're supposed to boast about the money made other countries when you export your wares, not from your own people
You can shit on America all you want, but it's the only country where a guy named Jeetu can become the president of a $400B company
Every time I open YouTube, there's a new Dune 3 final trailer
HOW MANY TRAILERS DOES THIS MOVIE HAVE?!?
My least popular opinion among Indians is that India will top out at sub $4k per capita income and remain in the 120-150th gdp per capita band permanently
The end game for India is a permanent Brazil, but even poorer
If AI can do all the white collar work, why would you fire the attractive young Instagrammable women first and NOT the ugly fat nerd uncs?
These women have the safest jobs in tech right now
