Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. I’m introducing legislation to ensure that the Smithsonian preserves the propaganda tools that the Trump Administration is using to warp and censor American history in the president’s own authoritarian self-image.
My bill will allow future generations to learn about the president who wielded his powers like a tyrant-king and the Americans who fought back for democracy and freedom. crookedmedia.substack.com/p/…

I’m no supporter of Donald Trump, but I’ll give him this: he’s held up a mirror to society and revealed just how many people put hatred, bigotry, and self-interest above compassion and decency. What shocks me most is how many now wear it proudly.

The damage this administration is doing is irreparable
The Bureau of Land Management approved blasting through 100-foot canyon walls at the entrance to the world's longest art gallery. So oil tankers can drive through it.
Nine Mile Canyon, Utah holds more than 10,000 cultural, historical and archaeological resources, including over 1,000 known rock art sites containing more than 10,000 individual images. People have used this canyon for at least 8,000 years.
The blasting happens in Gate Canyon, the entrance corridor into that gallery. Federal surveys have already found 47 historic sites along this one stretch of road alone. And it's not only the rock art. Threatened Mexican spotted owls use cliff habitat in the canyon, including areas near the proposed blasting. BLM did the minimum environmental review required and barreled ahead anyway, to move oil out of the Uinta Basin faster. Up to 1,000 vehicles a day, roughly half of them heavy tankers.
This isn't BLM's first swing at this road. Duchesne County tried the same realignment in 2015 and again in 2022. Both times, public opposition killed it. This time, BLM posted it quietly in March with no public notice, denied conservation groups' request to even weigh in, and approved it in April anyway.
It's the same playbook that just got this administration stopped at Big Bend National Park, except "stopped" is doing a lot of work in that sentence. There, a judge halted construction October 2nd, but only after bulldozers had already torn through the park’s grounds. A win in court doesn't un-crush what's already crushed.
Three groups sued over Gate Canyon this week. But a lawsuit takes months. A blasting crew takes days.

🚨WTF: An unhinged Donald Trump threatens to throw Hillary, Biden, and Obama in PRISON.
Trump: "I could've done very bad things to …. Hillary… Joe Biden… Barack Hussein Obama ... I can do whatever I want, if I want."
Trump is a danger to our country.

Something unprecedented happened during my visit to the Gulf.
For the first time in 20 years in Congress, I was denied entry to U.S. military facilities and even meetings with military leaders.
An order from Hegseth - that applies to both parties - to hide the cost of the war.

For the first time in 24 years, the Trump administration has decided not to invite international observers to watch the federal election in the United States. This years midterms will proceed without monitors from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE,) a regional security group. Trump is doing everything in his power to lie, cheat and steal this election. 🤬 Show up in massive numbers to Vote Blue so he cannot steal or question the results! 💙💙💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I can’t believe we have to say this, but the annihilation of two major American cities — more than 5 million people — is not a “small price to pay” for Trump's illegal war.
Neither are the 19 American troops and 3,000+ Iranians who lost their lives.
Our president is unhinged.

GOP Sen. Mike Lee: “If anyone spoke to my wife, or my daughter, or my mother, or any of my five sisters, the way Mr. Trump has spoken to women, I wouldn’t hire that person, wouldn’t want to be associated with that person, and I certainly don’t think I’d be comfortable hiring that person to be the leader of the free world.”

Americans still believe they live in a democracy, which is rather sweet. The president has just explained, out loud and to applause, that the only election result he will accept is the one where his side wins, and the country has responded by nodding politely and going back to arguing about the price of petrol.
In a few weeks they are going to have a crisis dropped into their laps of a size nobody has ever seen before, and they will be absolutely astonished, because apparently being told in advance doesn't count.
Garcia-Navarro: Trump called for journalists to be arrested…
Rantz: He's not calling for them to be arrested.
Garcia-Navarro: I’m actually reading it on the screen.
Rantz: Don't conflate criticism with a legitimate threat of throwing someone in jail
Navarro: So when he says they should be arrested, it means what now?
Rantz: It means he’s being critical, you never heard that before?
