Method and Palantir are announcing the Cardinal Program: a consortium of AI, infrastructure, and security partners to strengthen national cyber resilience.
America’s municipalities, water and power utilities, and critical infrastructure operators now face cyber adversaries armed with AI.
Their defenders should not have to stand alone.
Cardinal will provide select municipalities, utilities, and critical infrastructure operators with free, opt-in, continuous autonomous security assessments - with expert operators and human oversight.
If your organization protects critical systems or public services, we want to hear from you.

Space warfare today isn't death stars and phaser beams — it's hacking, jamming, and spoofing.
Very exciting from @method_security, both gov AND commercial space assets need this solution yesterday

It is an absolute honor to be entrusted by the Department of War to help bring cyber resilience and deterrence to space. Today we are announcing our $30M STRATFI award to bring autonomous cyber infrastructure to the U.S. Space Force.
Space is hard. The mission matters immensely. More on our work below.

Bringing cyber resilience to Space.
Method is proud to announce a $30M STRATFI award (Strategic Funding Increase) to equip the U.S. Space Force with the autonomous cyber infrastructure it needs to win in a contested space environment.
We’re looking for the country’s best engineers and cyber operators to join us in support of this mission.

If you think it's hard to keep the models under control in a sandbox, you should try using them in real-world cyber ops.
Safely wielding intelligence for security is now the most important problem in applied AI.
people on here are thinkers so they assume that reasoning about alignment is the hard part and making sure millions(1) of task types, environments, and their respective virtual machines are configured correctly is the easy part but it’s essentially the opposite. you need to have worked in a large technology organization to appreciate the complexity and unreliability of this intuitively
(1) made up order of magnitude

1. a great essay
2. reminder to always bet on nominative determinism @seanhacker
3. reach out to @___sjones now to claim your 'iron man suit for security engineers'
Sometimes well architected software systems is all you need to solve a problem. Our approach to guardrails at Method doesn't involve an "AI judge", just deterministic software principles that keep models in check while still allowing them to be creative

America's elite security teams are now asking: how do we safely wield AI for real-world cyber operations?
Models and agents alone can't be trusted.
Operators need new cyber mission systems: platforms that bring this intelligence into their workflows with their tools, their tradecraft, and their rules of engagement.
These systems have to work wherever conflict plays out: inside our companies, at the tactical edge, and in orbit.
Method builds those systems.
Our customers in the US Government and America's critical enterprises use them in production to test their resilience and deter their adversaries.
Reaper lets red teams 100x their offensive operations.
Plan, rehearse, and execute red team missions end-to-end: over the internet, locally, or at the edge in denied environments.
Your operators, your tradecraft, your rules of engagement, all accelerated to machine speed.

Maybe Mythos hacked every DoW system on earth in ten minutes.
Maybe that was a misquote through layers of the DC swamp.
Either way, one thing's for sure:
America is now in a race against our adversaries to operationalize frontier models for cyber offense.
We started Method to help us win.
We're proud to deploy with cyber operators protecting our institutions and deterring our adversaries.
If that sounds like your mission too - come join us. 🇺🇸

Palantir calling out what we're hearing from our customers at Method: compliance theater doesn't stand a chance against adversaries armed with LLMs.
Their security team has set the bar for years. Awesome to see @ssankar and the team raise it with a new standard for readiness.
Introducing MA-S2: Mission Assurance Security Standard for Software.
AI is accelerating vulnerability discovery. Adversaries are moving faster than any human team can respond.
Institutions need autonomous remediation, attack path modeling, and domain awareness.
The bar has changed.
MA-S2 is our proposed standard for software security — one we're actively working towards, and publishing as our responsibility to every enterprise that wishes to secure its own digital footprint and ecosystem.

Last year my position was AI was predominately accelerating known TTPs. Now it is helping generate new ones.
The threat is evolving, so must our readiness. Cyber resilience is not optional.
Discussed this + more with @AnneNeuberger.
Sam Jones @___sjones, cofounder and CEO @Method_Security explains why the scope and scale of today’s cyber threats make adopting AI for our defense an urgent priority.
Check out the full conversation with Sam, @AnneNeuberger, and @Jai_Ramaswamy on the a16z AI Policy Brief.

Excited to see this from Method. Having worked with @___sjones, @dan__kelly, and @seanhacker in high-stakes environments, I know how deeply they understand the mission and the stakes.
AI will redefine cyber operations, and this is a strong move toward the future we need.
Method and OpenAI have formed a strategic partnership to deploy AI capabilities for U.S. National Security cyber missions.
U.S. cyber operators defend the largest and most complex attack surfaces on earth. As adversaries weaponize AI at scale, national cyber readiness now depends on safely deploying autonomy to re-secure our critical institutions.Method and OpenAI are developing a joint solution for the Defense Department and Intelligence Community.
By embedding OpenAI’s frontier models into Method’s cyber operations infrastructure, we’re delivering scalable, secure autonomy that powers resilience and gives defenders a force-multiplying advantage.
