Awesome thread from the @apievangelist Currently working with a client on API governance processes and so many of these ring true. We are supporting light touch processes so teams are not burdened by bureaucracy, stds automation & separation between legacy & new API processes

Im sorry for those attending or organising @CircuitFestBCN but this year should be cancelled because of #monkeypox This week there are 7 people in hospital because of symptoms and over 800 diagnosed so far in BCN. Vaccines unavailable, high transmission through close contact.
Here’s what needs to happen instead: @salutcat needs to publicly share data more openly, @barcelona_cat & insurers need to financially support @CircuitFestBCN to close events, retailers need to share “how to enjoy a different bcn visit” for tourists who came to party…
What a relief! Overcoming gov inaction globally (esp. here in Spain which has the world’s highest rate of growing recent transmissions) and a dithering WHO c’ttee @DrTedros has shown true leadership and declared #monkeypox a public health emergency of international concern.

I refer to this a lot from @ewebber emilywebber.co.uk/quick-iceb…. Golden rule: make the ice breaker relevant to the meeting. Also, we put a lot of pressure on the ice breaker to be perfect. I think of it as the “commute into meeting”.
