The cybersecurity landscape has dramatically changed. Being able to build up your defenses using AI, while keeping that research private, is now critically important β and we want to make that available to everyone.
We just rolled out NEAR AI Cybersecurity program: access to uncensored models for security scanning. All your code, prompts, and findings stay private.
Everything runs inside secure enclaves and is encrypted end-to-end.

The funds from the $3.8M NEAR Intents exploit have been returned, just one day later, and the investigation is closed.
Thanks to SHIELD, the AI security layer on Intents, along with some aggressive detective work, the Intents team identified the party responsible less than 24h after the hack, established communication, and got the funds back in full at 14:30 UTC today.
Thank you to @alexauroradev and the whole @near_intents team for this fast and clean resolution β as well as the broader @NEARProtocol ecosystem and SHIELD partners for the support and help. Thereβs been relentless work over the past 24 hours by so many people to make this right and it is a great testament to this communityβs values and determination.
To echo Alex: for security researchers looking for exploits, we encourage you to use bug bounties. They exist for a reason.
At NEAR, we believe that privacy is a right, but not as a way to facilitate crime. Our technology is built to expand human agency and opportunity, not to facilitate criminal activity. The events of the last week have shown the value of SHIELD to find suspicious activity before things escalate too far, as well as to accelerate resolution so the vast majority of legitimate users are not affected. Confidentiality cannot come at the expense of lawfulness and I strongly believe it doesnβt have to.
Weβve learned a great deal from this incident and work is already underway to harden our security systems and further adapt to the changing cybersecurity landscape. AI may be accelerating exploits, but it can also help us defend against them. I hope our entire industry responds with vigilance and feels the same sense of urgency to work together.
Well deserved success for a great team that has been consistently shipping for years
Congrats to @rhea_finance for becoming one of the main venues for $ZEC trading & lending alongside Near Intents.
RHEA trades $85M / day in ZEC volume, whereas the whole Solana blockchain trades $60M per day, and it outcompetes CEXs such as Gate ($30M) or Kraken ($75M), and closely rivals OKX ($117M) or Coinbase ($250M).
It also has the deepest ZEC AMM LP with $20M, paired with NEAR.
But even if you are not on NEAR, you can use the cross-chain solution of Rhea, lending BTC, ZEC, or SOL and borrowing stables on different chains, doing cross-chain swaps (also confidentially), perps, etc.
Having known them for 4+ years, I have to say Near eco has some of the brightest technical minds on crypto and they donβt get enough attention.
and itβs one of the most solid demonstrations of leveraging @near_intents tech and adding their own sauce.
Also check out their ZEC wallet @noir_wallet - first ever browser extension wallet for ZEC that scaled from 0 to 20k+ users in a few months, supported by Zcash, only one with embedded defi (trade, lending, bridge, perps, etc) using rhea and near intents tech.

NEW ATH
NEAR Intents did $300M+ volume in a single day.
In July 2025, $409M was the all-time total across the protocol. NEAR Intents continues to scale.

Stablecoins are often treated as one market. They are not.
Some start with scale. Others grow through a product, a partner network or demand for a particular currency. Each starting point creates a different path to growth.
This analysis looks at those paths and where @near_intents fits:

New ATH of Confidential TVL on Intents at $60M.
ZEC is pristine privacy, but NEAR brings privacy to all assets, including Bitcoin, stablecoins, or tokenized stocks.
Still waiting for the moment BTC whales realize that they can add privacy to Bitcoin using Intents.
NEAR Intents metrics ramping up.
β’ Over $26B in settled volume
β’ New ATH in Confidential TVL w/ $38.6M
β’ Confidential swaps already account for +70% of vol on main frontend
β’ 697k+ users (30d); with 20% growth in the last month
β’ Over 30M swaps
β’ Over $42M in fees generated in less than 12 months
β’ Over $140M in total intents TVL across chains (public + private).
And confidential Perps on Hyperliquid coming soon. (yes, trading perps on HL privately).
With Near Intents, you can already hold any asset privately, swap privately, and transfer privately.
- Want to fund a new wallet without anyone knowing?
- Want to make a payment, fund your neobank card, or transfer to a friend and hide your onchain history?
- Want to swap your BTC or SOL like if you were swapping ZEC?
- Want to not dox your HL positions? (soon).
Near Intents enables it all. All without the high fees that others privacy-focused protocols imposed in the past. And all onchain.
Making privacy mainstream.

Try confidential GLM-5.3-Flash on @near_ai
Spent today running a proper latency A/B on GLM-5.3-Flash across our two stake-for-inference providers: @AskVenice and @near_ai. Both let you stake tokens once and draw inference against that stake instead of paying per token.
NEAR's leg runs inside a confidential TEE enclave with a signed attestation report you can actually pull and verify. Same 20-request probe set, same payload sizes, run back to back.
Time to first token (median, small requests)
β’ NEAR: 0.74s
β’ Venice: ~1.1s
Time to first token, warm agent turn (large cached prompt)
β’ NEAR: 1.6s
β’ Venice: 2.0s
Decode speed
β’ NEAR: 239β261 tok/s
β’ Venice: 42 tok/s
Reliability
β’ NEAR: 20/20 clean
β’ Venice: 20/20 clean
The enclave adds zero visible latency. Confidential inference used to mean accepting a speed tax. Not here. Staked, attested, private inference, and it was the fastest lane we measured.
Then we dropped it into our real agent harness at high effort. ~5s per turn on ~100K prompt once the cache was warm. Within a hair of the frontier model it's replacing, at a fraction of the cost, running in an TEE enclave.
Really nice work from @Pierre_Le_Guen and the NEAR team. GLM-5.3-Flash on NEAR is now a first-class lane for us at an unbeatable price: Input: $0.075 - Output:$0.25 - Cache:$0.015
