Maybe South Wales Police would like to explain themselves. I have had death threats against me and my son police were informed over a week ago and didnt think to warn me about this putting me and my son in Danger why I was not issued an osman warning?
Common Law Duty to Warn Woodcock v Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police (2023) The High Court re-confirmed that police owe a common law duty of care to warn potential victims if specific risk factors are met (e.g., foreseeability, seriousness of harm, and proximity).
The "Real and Immediate" Test Osman v United Kingdom (1998) This European Court of Human Rights case established that if the police know or ought to know of a real and immediate risk to life, they must take preventative measures Issuing a formal warning is how they satisfy this.
Legal Basis Source Requirement / Duty
Operational Duty to Protect Life Article 2 of the Human Rights Act 1998 Public authorities (such as the police) have a positive obligation to take proactive steps to protect an individual whose life is at risk.

It's 40 years to the day that Jeremy Bamber was wrongly convicted for the killings at White House Farm! @ccrcupdate isn't it about time you did something?
Thank you to those who have stood by me over the past few years means a lot and there's lots of work still to do on miscarriage cases. We must all keep fighting for the genuine innocent people in prison. They must not be forgotten.

Alabama plans to execute #MichaelTaylor on November 5. He was 19 when he committed the crime. Now 54, he has spent 35 years on death row, growing in faith and expressing profound remorse. Ask @GovernorKayIvey to choose mercy.
