.@skynews a total left wing rag these days but this makes me feel sorry for them. Getting bullied by Trump is one thing. It is Donald Trump. These little third worlders running around pretending to be Trump is gross and humiliating.
Michigan's Democratic candidate for Senate Abdul El-Sayed confronted @jamesmatthewsky, telling him he wouldn't answer his questions as he wants "zero" votes in the UK. Watch the heated exchange between the two. Watch our live coverage of the US midtermsโžก๏ธ trib.al/BikRSb2

Maybe JD Vance can change his name back to James Hamel or whatever and go back to being a โ€œTrump is Hitlerโ€ Democrat. Hamel/Omar joint ticket for 2028

I just donโ€™t know how a United States of Somalia works with small pockets (Anduril, SpaceX, US military, Florida etc) that still represent old America surrounded by third worldism. It doesnโ€™t work in its current form. It either needs to ditch democracy or needs to be broken up

In a full blown nuclear war between superpowers humanity dies like the dinosaurs potentially forever. The price of gas (petrol) is not fun for anyone but blame that on the maniacs in Iran wanting a piece on the nuclear war chessboard.
169
Very sorry but your vote in an election doesn't allow you to have an input on how a nuclear war might play out in future. That's beyond your pay grade Abdul.
131
In era of software (internet, AI), nuclear bombs and autonomous warfare democracy is such a joke. There's like 0.1 percent of the population that has any clue what is going on. Asking Abdul whether Iran should have nukes or not is like asking a 5 year old whether he wants a gun.

Democracy worked in say the 20th century because the world was nowhere near as complex as it is now and the electorate was much better informed. Now the world is impossible to understand and Abdul just wants his government handout.

Thankfully who gets to participate in nuclear wars isn't decided by podcasters or democratic votes. Hey, let's have a referendum on whether we nuke Hiroshima or not. Morons.

Great news! President Trump has announced that US foreign aid to Israel will end! THANK YOU AMERICA, and thank you @realDonaldTrump for helping the Jewish State defend itself from its many enemies through this generation's "Marshall Plan." The US' pro-Israel stance, and the millions of Americans who love Israel, have helped the Jewish State survive and indeed thrive. Now, like the UK which was a reciepient of billions through the Marshall Plan, Israel has matured into a strong independent state and no longer needs foreign aid - thank God! No doubt, the Jewish State will continue to buy US arms. But the era of Israeli dependence on US aid has come to an end. And that is a blessing - and not a curse! BTW, the real injured party of this announcement are the US arms manufacturers, and their American work force, who directly benefitted from the MOU, where US government funds in the form of arms purchasing went directly to them. But I am sure that they, and Israel, will both survive through this change. Again, thank you America, and thank you President Trump.
BREAKING: President Trump says the U.S. will end roughly $4 billion in annual aid to Israel by the end of the year, revealing that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the decision. โ€œBecause they donโ€™t need it,โ€ Trump said during an exclusive interview on @foxandfriends, describing Israel as a thriving country that no longer requires American financial assistance. Trump also said Netanyahu raised the idea of ending the aid himself. He emphasized that Israel remains one of Americaโ€™s most reliable allies as the two countries prepare for a major shift in their financial relationship. I have long suspected that the more recent historical spectacle among Torah-observant Jews - the curious transformation of the marginal into the essential, and the elevation of superstitions, irrational beliefs, and assorted folklore, having no foundation whatsoever in Halakha, above the actual demands of the Halakhic system - was, at least in part, the consequence of a historical development. For generations, the distinction between the ordinary Jew and the ordinary gentile was, in its essentials, quite straightforward: the Jew was bound by the mitzvot, living a life of sober, rigorous, law-abiding rationality, intellectual discipline, free from the superstitions, emotional extravagances, and assorted absurdities that plagued the surrounding pagan world. But once the gentile himself became civilized, rational, law-abiding, capable of distinguishing between superstition and reason, and between justice and nonsense - some Jews found themselves compelled to seek distinctiveness and define their Jewishness through superstitions, peculiar beliefs, and bizarre customs that had no roots in Halakha, along with increasingly ascribing religious substance to cultural peculiarities. After all, how is Jewishness to distinguish itself through intellectual rigor, refraining from theft and adultery, rejecting superstition, and practicing charity and justice, honesty and integrity - if the gentile does the same? The good news, however, is that the gentile appears to be making considerable progress in the opposite direction. And now that the gentile is returning to his madness, the Jew who could not bear the absence of cultural and social distinctions by which to distinguish himself, may return to his normality.

So much misinformation even now. It is criminal. With the largest party Bibi has 28 days to attempt to form a coalition and peel 3-6 mandates off from Eisenkot, Bennett, Lieberman's parties if not their entire bloc. Bibi, the master, will play them off against eachother.
1
173
Bennett needs to rehabilitate public image as going into coalition with Arabs pre October 7th has pushed him out into third. If I was him I'd take Bibi's offer for national security with resumption of Iran war looming. No one wants a month of Eisenkot negotiating with the Arabs
2
78
The journalists have to come round to reality eventually nitter.cf/NadimKoteich/status/21โ€ฆ
The best ticket for Israel right now is @netanyahu + @naftalibennett. Bennett needs to drop some of the harder promises, play it as a mature ego and natural leader, and take the shot. Thatโ€™s the path that makes him the clear future of Likud after Netanyahu and the one that actually serves the region, peace, pragmatism, and security at the same time.
26
Bennett has to be the opportunity for Bibi if he can't peel off individuals from various parties. Has cratered since going into coalition with Arabs and briefly becoming PM. This would've been another Bibi vs Bennett election if it hadn't been for that.
109
And yet the exact same will happen at the next election and the one after that and the one after that. And Amit will fall for it all over again. The price to pay to get paid a living to cover politics in the media and not having reach suppressed on Twitter.
The surprising results of the election makes me think about the parallel reality weโ€™ve been living in for the past three years. If the polls were that far off, perhaps they were also wrong about what the public wanted on the hostage deal, the war and who should be prime minister. In other words, weโ€™ve been living in a reality we thought was unfolding, when in fact a different one was unfolding. If you look at the vote shift itself, almost no seats moved from the Netanyahu bloc to the change bloc. The decline has three causes. First, the Arab vote increased by a dramatic one percentage point. Second, no votes were โ€œwastedโ€ on the Meretz and Balad side, as they were last time. And third, about 2.5 percent of the votes were โ€œwastedโ€ on the Netanyahu blocโ€™s side: Ofer Winter, a few scattered votes for Noam and Leitner, and the Ethiopian Immigrants Party.
