I am fed up of GP bashing. I am an Emergency Medicine doc and I see many patients sent in by GPs whose lives are saved by that action. I am starting a campaign. Let's all name and publicly thank and praise the last GP who did something for us. #GPHeroes

Today I gave a talk to regional Spr’s in acute medicine. I think I learned more from them than they did from me. The knowledge, passion and pragmatism they showed was inspiring. The thing they have in common - patient centred care. We must be doing something right to attract them

Dear New Doc,
Never dismiss a nurse telling you they have a bad feeling about a patient...even if they can’t explain why.

Highly impressed by our RCP president today, encouraging physicians to stand up and be heard. Someone has got to stand up for standards. And don’t forget how valuable and a rare resource we are.
