People really have no idea how predatory Kalshi and Polymarket are vs Sportsbooks. One is legal everywhere, the other is not. If you parlayed the same 10 picks on Kalshi vs Sportsbook odds a $10 bet pays out $69 vs $30,524. Tell me again why all of these elected officials are against legalizing online sports books?
Prediction markets aren’t predicting anything.
They’re sportsbooks with an early cash-out button and a better marketing team.
Polymarket and Kalshi are gambling platforms dressed up as civic tools. Go open either one right now, build a few multi-leg political combinations, and look at the payouts. There’s no edge. No real market. Just juice and narrative.
They don’t even price the same election outcomes as fairly as actual sportsbooks. That’s not “prediction.”
That’s a worse version of the thing they claim to be better than.
Regulators already got played by “daily fantasy.” This is the same trick with better branding.
If elected officials can’t tell the difference, they’re either too stupid or too bought to regulate it.
These platforms have been running free ads for manipulated markets for months. When the lawsuits hit over election interference, it won’t be a surprise. It’ll be late.

Everyone likes to be negative because that is the world we live in but you do realize it is Colorado right? Newsflash, maybe the Red Sox are the problem. The training staff, the medical, maybe they are the problem. Look at Chris Sale talking about leaving Boston he got with a trainer that was different and magically he went back to being CY Young. Enough is enough with the slander on the players being soft. We have a crap medical team and support staff. We had a manager for years whose main goal was to screw up the growth of young players by moving them around the field etc. It’s a culture problem. I absolutely hate that Craig Breslow was extended. He is terrible. I’ve never been more on board with a sell the team and start from ground zero. Fire every last person and start completely fresh. I don’t care how long someone has been with the organization. The organization is the damn problem. Not Roman Anthony. Not Marcelo Mayer. Not Kristian Campbell. The organization is a failure at its core and until that changes all of this misdirected hate is going to be pointless on Roman.
