This is remarkable. Parts of Floridaās Space Coast have received up to *half a yearās worth of rain* in the last day and a half ā as much as 27 inches in 36 hours, about 50% of an average yearās rainfall (radar estimate through 5 p.m. ET Monday).
The most extreme totals occurred in the stretch from Palm Bay to Valkaria.
What contributed to this:
⢠A deep flow of moisture from record-warm waters in the southwestern Atlantic
⢠Weak winds through the middle atmosphere, which kept storms slow-moving
⢠Background moisture levels boosted by a record El Niño, riding the tailwind of a warming climate

But close to a dozen companies are racing to replace the chocolate in everyone's favorite treats, including with entirely vat-grown cocoa cells.

A week before North Korean hackers raided Binance, its founder issued a warning: āNo crypto wallet is 100% safe.ā
Then, in about 20 minutes, hackers stole at least $6.3 billion from the worldās largest crypto exchangeāthe biggest heist ever.
As billions drained from Binance wallets, executives in Abu Dhabi and blockchain investigators scrambled to trace the stolen funds.
Stablecoin issuers including Tether, Circle and World Liberty Financial raced to freeze the money before the hackers could move it.
The hackers used Aave, a decentralized lending platform, to borrow ether against stolen stablecoinsāobtaining crypto that couldnāt be frozen.
Roughly $3 billion was frozen, but the hackers still held about $2.4 billion in assets beyond issuersā reach.
Binance says a compromised engineerās laptop may have helped attackers get in, but it has since found other points of breach. The company has pledged to cover all losses.
We reconstructed the frantic scramble behind what investigators say was a North Korean operation:

āThis spring, the U.S. military faced a similar dilemma in the Middle East. According to a Reuters report that cited Pentagon documents, U.S. forces used Starshield to pilot their drones for strikes against Iran. When SpaceX found out, it raised the price for Starshield service in that region from roughly $5,000 per terminal per month to $25,000. The Pentagon agreed to pay.
In Ukraine, Musk could be attempting a similar upsell.ā

Some personal news: in two weeks I'm joining The @WSJ to cover @Tesla, one of the most incredible (and I mean that in just about every way possible) companies of our time.
It's a dream job, tbh, and I genuinely can't wait to get started.
I'll also be covering the actually-really-happening-now rise and spread of autonomous vehicles, which I expect will be one of the most fascinating technology, business, and labor stories that I'm likely to live through.
I can't wait to go deeper on companies like @Waymo and @Rivian, and see how this all shakes out in the coming years.
If you work/have worked at Tesla or one of these companies, or work in the industry more broadly, *or* just have a fun story to share, I want to talk to you! you can always reach me on Signal: okane.01 š«”

In a recent NYT debate, Paul Kedrosky claimed that 80% of Anthropic revenues come from 8 companies. He claimed Meta alone makes up 10%.
As Azeem Azhar pointed out, this concentration was declining over time and we'd have an answer in the S-1.
The S-1 tells us:
"No single customer represented more than 10% of our revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2026. Approximately 79% of our revenue came from customers outside of our top five customers for the three months ended September 30, 2026, up from approximately 64% for the three months ended March 31, 2026."
So that resolves it. Concentration is below the levels Kedrosky warned of, and falling.
