Quantum computing is becoming a serious consideration for the future of blockchain security. While much of the industry is discussing how to adapt existing systems when the threat becomes more immediate, @Minima_Global has taken a different approach. To understand why, consider how a blockchain protects its users. Every time someone signs a transaction, the network needs a reliable way to verify that the person authorizing it actually owns the funds. Bitcoin and Ethereum, for example, use elliptic-curve-based signature schemes in their existing systems. A sufficiently powerful quantum computer running Shor’s algorithm could potentially break the mathematical assumptions behind these signatures, creating a serious risk for assets protected by vulnerable keys. This is not a claim that quantum computers can steal everyone’s crypto today. The hardware required to carry out such attacks at scale does not currently exist. The challenge is preparing infrastructure that may need to remain secure for decades, rather than waiting until the threat becomes urgent. This is where Minima’s design becomes interesting. Minima uses Winternitz One-Time Signatures (WOTS), supported by SHA3-256 and a Merkle-based signature structure. Instead of relying on elliptic-curve mathematics for transaction signatures, it relies on hash-based cryptography. These are different security foundations, and hash-based signatures are widely recognized as a promising approach to post-quantum security. The important point is that Minima did not build its core signature system around a cryptographic assumption that quantum computing could eventually undermine in the same way. Its architecture was designed with that future threat in mind from the beginning. That leads to the second part of the claim: no hard fork dependency. When a blockchain’s underlying cryptography needs to change, the work can extend far beyond replacing one algorithm. Developers may need to modify protocol rules, wallets may need new signing mechanisms, and users, exchanges and infrastructure providers may need to coordinate a migration. Depending on how the network is designed, this can introduce technical complexity, compatibility problems and disagreement over how the transition should happen. For a decentralized network, coordination is not a minor detail. A security upgrade is only useful if the ecosystem can implement it safely. Minima’s design aims to reduce this dependency by making quantum-resistant cryptography part of the protocol’s foundation. Rather than relying on a future hard fork simply to replace an elliptic-curve signature system, Minima already uses a different approach. This does not mean Minima will never need upgrades or that every future cryptographic risk has been eliminated. It means quantum readiness is an architectural decision, not just an item on a future development roadmap. There is also a trade-off. WOTS signatures are larger than conventional elliptic-curve signatures, creating additional transaction and bandwidth overhead. Hash-based cryptography requires careful implementation, and one-time signatures must be managed correctly. Security still depends on the complete system working as intended. But these trade-offs highlight something important about blockchain design: security choices made at the foundation affect everything built on top of them. For Minima, this is particularly relevant because its vision extends beyond conventional blockchain infrastructure. It aims to make running a complete node possible on everyday devices, supporting a more distributed network in which participation does not depend on specialized infrastructure. If blockchain becomes part of phones, vehicles, connected devices and other long-lived systems, cryptographic resilience becomes even more important. Read more here ; minima.global/post/the-quant…

GM guys We can all agree that privacy in Web3 is changing. It’s no longer just about “what information can people see?” The real question is: “who is allowed to look?” That’s the part I think people don’t talk about much. Even if your data is hidden, if someone has the power to view it, you’re not really protected. Privacy fails the moment one group has more control than everyone else. And this is where @Minima_Global really stands out. Minima doesn’t try to hide everything with tricks, mixers, or secret layers. It simply removes the person or system that would have the authority to look in the first place. ➠ No special node for anyone. ➠ No powerful validator. ➠ No “trusted party.” Just a network where nobody is above anyone else. Because when no one has access, there’s nothing to spy from. And when no one has more authority, there’s nothing to exploit. That’s real privacy, not by hiding data, but by eliminating the power imbalance that compromises it. With Minima: ➠ Everyone runs the same node ➠ No one gets extra access ➠ There’s no central point to monitor or leak from Privacy stops being a feature. it becomes a natural outcome of true decentralization. Minima isn’t protecting secrets, it’s removing the reason secrets get stolen in the first place: centralization. Simple, honest privacy. Not because it hides more, but because no one has the authority to look. 🔐 That’s how Web3 should work. That’s Minima.

Building a Trust Layer for Autonomous Machines. What we know about @Minima_Global today: - Active work is underway to protect the patent for Minima-on-Chip technology. - Strong partnerships with @Arm and @Siemens – prototypes have already been launched on Arm platforms, and integration into industrial systems, drones, and autonomous vehicles is underway. This is just the tip of the iceberg! Minima is a lightweight Layer-1 that operates as a full-fledged node on phones, IoT devices, and even chips. Gas-free, quantum-resistant, and fully decentralized. I expect that if the chip is successfully commercialized, its market capitalization will easily exceed $500 million and enter the CMC top 100. Deep technology and real industrial partners are what will be in demand in the coming years.

This is wild. Google Research demonstrates a ~20x more efficient implementation of Shor's algorithm that could break ECDSA keys within minutes with ~500K physical qubits. Google is now are more confident on a 2029 post-quantum transition. We are no longer looking at mid 2030s, we could have quantum computers of this scale by the end of the decade. They believe this result is so severe that they are not publishing the actual circuits. They instead published a ZKP proving that they know of the quantum circuit with these properties. This is very atypical, showing Google thinks this is serious shit. All blockchains need a transition plan ASAP. Post-quantum is no longer a drill.

One project I keep coming back to when thinking about the future of real decentralization is Minima. Most blockchains today still rely on powerful machines, validators, or big data centers to keep the network running. That works, but it also slowly pushes power toward people with the biggest hardware. Minima took a different route. Their idea is simple but powerful: every user should be able to run a full node on a normal device. Not a server farm. Not expensive hardware. Just a phone, laptop, or small device. So instead of a few powerful nodes securing the network, millions of everyday devices can participate. That changes the game. Imagine a world where: •your phone helps secure a blockchain •your IoT devices can verify transactions •machines can communicate and transact directly without middlemen This is why people sometimes talk about Minima when discussing the machine-to-machine economy and the future of embedded blockchain systems. It also connects to the idea of blockchain-on-chip, where blockchain logic can run directly inside hardware. If that direction keeps growing, we might see drones, cars, and smart devices recording and verifying actions on-chain automatically. To me, Minima feels less like a typical crypto project chasing hype and more like infrastructure for a world where billions of devices interact on-chain. And if that vision actually plays out, the networks built for massive decentralization at the edge will become incredibly important. @Minima_Global

Why does this matter? 🔹Autonomous machines will increasingly make decisions without human oversight. When something goes wrong, investigators need to know... what actually happened? A blockchain black box creates an immutable record machines cannot alter. That’s a foundation for trusted autonomy.

Guys, the year is moving fast and Minima isn’t slowing down either. Something really interesting just unfolded in the Minima ecosystem and it’s worth paying attention to. @Minima_Global just released a documentary showing the world’s first drone with a blockchain black box and honestly, this is a big step for real-world blockchain use. This was made possible with the help of @unisouthampton, @Arm, and @Siemens. Together, they demonstrated a drone that can record its flight data directly on a blockchain, creating a tamper-resistant record that cannot be changed later. It’s just like the black box in airplanes that records everything during a flight. But instead of storing the data in a normal system, it’s stored on a blockchain, making it transparent and verifiable. Why does this matter? This matters because the future will have more autonomous machines like drones, robots, vehicles, even satellites making decisions on their own and when something goes wrong, the first question will always be: “What actually happened?” With a blockchain black box, the machine can prove its own actions with data that cannot be edited or manipulated. That’s a huge step toward trusted autonomy. In simple terms, Minima is helping build a future where machines don’t just act independently, they can also prove what they did and that’s the kind of real-world innovation that pushes this space forward.
