Earlier today, I was at the pub catching up with a friend over drinks when a former student of mine came over to our table to say hi. I asked how she was doing and she told me she’d just graduated and that my classes had encouraged her to keep pushing herself, even when she’d felt like giving up entirely and going back home.
This hardly ever happens because students move on and you might never see them again. But on the rare occasions that it does, I’m reminded all over again why I became a teacher in the first place. ❤️
It always strikes me as funny how my ‘critics’ have no problem whatsoever using my full first name and job title (and sometimes even tag my employer), while at the same time accusing me of behaving inappropriately for someone who teaches languages to adults. 😳

You claim I’ve blocked you, yet here you are quote-tweeting me, despite the fact that X doesn’t allow blocked accounts to quote-tweet posts. So much for your accusations of dishonesty. You’re clearly being disingenuous AF and just looking for attention.
You’ve also completely missed my point. I never claimed that calling something an ideology is a slur. I pointed out that lumping scientific facts, medical concepts and political positions together under the label ‘gender ideology’ doesn’t invalidate the science behind them. Dismissing scientific expertise isn’t the same as refuting scientific evidence. You might want to try the latter for a change.
A classic example of the classic disingenuousness of trans ideologists:
"Calling something an ideology doesn’t make the science behind it disappear. It just saves you the trouble of engaging with it."
Calling something an ideology isn't a slur. Conservatism and liberalism are ideologies. I even agree with one of those. Identifying an ideology makes it easier to describe and identify a commonly observed mode of thinking.
What actually makes it harder to engage with ideas and assertions? Being blocked by someone ... as X explains the original poster and Mir poster did to me ... as Mir accused ME me of not engaging.
Mir also employs tactics common to those who advance the trans ideology: Make a passing reference to "science" while appealing to so-called "experts" and authority instead of actual, observed and reviewed/challenged facts and data ... then silencing dissent as much as possible and walking away from the debate.

Hier een kleine bloemlezing van de reacties van witte mannen op mijn tweet over moslimmannen die mij NIET lastigvielen toen ik alleen op een bankje zat bij een moskee toen het vrijdaggebed net ten einde was. Mijn uiterlijk, gewicht, seksualiteit en vermeende gebrek aan aantrekkelijkheid werden veelvuldig door hen aangehaald als reden dat ik mij daar wel veilig waande.
Fascinerend hoe ze daarmee stuk voor stuk precies mijn punt bevestigden zonder het zelf door te hebben. En toen ik ze op die ironie wees, besloten sommigen dat de beste manier om te bewijzen dat ze écht niet seksistisch waren, was er nog een schepje bovenop te doen. Apparently, Harrie here is so very butthurt that I turned off the comments on my other tweet about the subject that he thought it would be a good idea to come and chase me down elsewhere to tell me exactly how he feels about me: I’m ugly, pathetic and look like a pig. It’s fascinating that he still hasn’t quite caught on to the fact that his is exactly the kind of behaviour by men that proves my point about sexism and hatred towards women.
