****To all healthcare workers****
Please kindly spare 2 minutes from your busy schedule to fill the GASOC PPE survey.
We’re looking to analyze the global spread of PPE guidelines/availability in comparison to WHO recommendations.
Thank you! :)

Up to 82% of pregnant surgeons experience miscarriage, preterm delivery, and intrauterine growth restriction. Occupational hazards, including prolonged standing, physical exertion, overnight shifts, and teratogenic exposure, contribute to these risks.

The reality of women surgeons:
Me: ‘I’m Roshana, one of the surgeons, Mr x Registrar. WE will do x, y and z and were planning to do it like this’
Patient ‘Ok and when THEY do that…’
THEY not WE. Not YOU, surely.
It takes tiny pieces out of you every single time

Sir Eldryd Parry was a remarkable man. I met him at a THET conference as an F2. I felt rather out of my depth at this conference but struck up a conversation with him.
He recognized I had a Nigerian name and immediately spoke a few words of Yoruba to me. He was extremely friendly and kind. I was probably the least experienced person in that conference room but he spoke with me with deep interest and attention.
I approached him for an interview which he kindly agreed to, but sadly cancelled when his wife became poorly. An outstanding gentleman and pioneer. May his soul Rest In Peace @THETlinks

It's not that complicated... 🤔
❌ Where you're born should NOT impact your right to safe, timely care when you need it.
I’m in Clinic on a hot Summer afternoon and a nurse offers me an ice cream. Sadly I had to decline because of my lactose intolerance. She disappears off for about 20 minutes and comes back with this!

Can you help me inspire female surgeons of the future?
I went to med school in 1993 but it took 15 years until 2008 when I first worked for a woman
There are no medical memoirs written by female general surgeons
Please back my memoir with @unbounders 😍
