Instagram blocks another video of LiveLaw which explains the pending legal challenges against the SIR. (instagram.com/reels/DfFA7K_h…) Two days back, Instagram had blocked a reel on the ECI's affidavit in the Supreme Court in the SIR case, before restoring it after a few hours. The reason given for restricting the latest video is "We received a legal request to restrict this content". The same video is available on YouTube : youtube.com/watch?v=-UN-u4ny…
Instagram removes the reel posted on LiveLaw's official page about the ECI's affidavit in the #SupremeCourt. The reel, which was only an explanation of the ECI's version, was removed by Instagram saying, "We received a legal request to restrict this content". There is no explanation how the reel (instagram.com/reel/De_dnDnOW…) violated any law. @instagram @Meta The same video is available on YouTube - youtube.com/watch?v=OuEYr-bY…

Then how come this interim arrangement of Logical discrepancy category made large scale deletion of voters in WB? Why wasn’t its legality first examined? This is bizarre, Judges seem confused or intentionally playing with a fire !

13 crore names have been deleted from voter rolls and yet no meaningful order has been passed by the Supreme Court, former Delhi HC judge Justice Rekha Sharma.
J Sharma: judges after judges are making these words eat dust- bail is the rule, jail and exception.ask.those languishing in jail for 6 years. The question is how people are percecing the judiciary?. 13 lac names are removed from electoral rolls and not one meaningful order has been passed. Young students and activists have taken to streets and what happened to them? Beaten and it is happening right under the nose of the SC. We are talking of reforms within judicial system, speaking for myself I see no light at the end of the tunnel yet hope is a tunnel. Let us wait for the new dawn.

#BREAKING #SupremeCourt directs the State of Uttar Pradesh to pay Rs 6 lakh compensation to a man who was kept as an undertrial prisoner for 6 years in a murder-kidnapping case without any evidence. 6 Years was erased from the man's life on the basis of a concocted story, the Court says, noting that the UP Police did not carry out "even a rudimentary investigation". The Court directs the State Police to educate its officers on the process of investigation, and directs that the copy of the order be forwarded to the DGP.

"Tired of going to the Supreme Court again and again, I don't feel there is any use of going to the Supreme Court, I have lost trust,"- Sr Adv Kapil Sibal. "We go to the Court, but I don't know if we will get any relief. The people of the country feel that this Government should go. If anybody can save the Constitution in these times, it is the Supreme Court of India. But I am tired of keeping on going to the Supreme Court. I am speaking for myself. I don't think there is any use of going there. I don't have much trust in the Supreme Court of India. Whatever has to happen, will happen." "We told the Supreme Court many times that the voters' names are being wrongly deleted and wrongly included, we argued for months. The evidence is before the public. And the appellate tribunals now say 93% of the voters were wrongly removed. So the Supreme Court must have known. But no relief was given. So I am speaking for myslef, I don't have [faith]" - @KapilSibal says.

#BREAKING Supreme Court's judgment upholding SIR must be recalled as it was a result of a fraud played by the Election Commission of India by misrepresenting facts and misleading the Court, says Justice Gopala Gowda, former Supreme Court Judge. He says the Supreme Court must suo motu recall the SIR judgment, and call for all records from the ECI to ascertain if the SIR decision was taken by the Full Commission with the concurrence and approval of majority of Election Commissioners. "Illegality and unconstitutionality is writ large on the [SIR] judgment," says Justice Gowda.
