Hello @SentientAGI team. @shad_haq_ @vivekkolli @sandeepnailwal @oleg_golev @hstyagi @0xsachi @qzxcle .I want to share a concern about the latest casting process. It feels like the efforts of many contributors who worked consistently throughout Season 1 including myself were overlooked.
My regional moderator submitted my portfolio 2–3 days late, even though I personally delivered it on October 27. Because of this delay, I was not considered for the October casting. This situation affected not just me, but dozens of people who contributed for weeks with dedication.
Today, around 15 people in my community received the “Sentient AGI” role, but those of us who worked for over a month and a half were not awarded the “Early AGI” role. I reached out via DM, but received no response from moderators or from Shad.
I’m attaching my portfolio below. Do you truly believe I don’t deserve to be evaluated fairly? I kindly ask the team to address this issue and ensure that everyone’s effort is recognized. Thank you.

ABOUT SENTIENT DISCORD ROLES
Hello my @SentientAGI friends. I haven't been able to post for the past few days due to the disappointment I've experienced with Discord role upgrades. There were even moments when I was truly shocked by the process. Let me tell you about my wife’s and my journey in the Sentient project with data. Then I’ll share the voices of my friends from the community.
First of all, when we started this project, we frequently asked our local moderator the question: “Can a person who works very hard and puts in above average effort today get the Sentient AGI role?” At the time and repeatedly afterward, we were told that hardworking contributors could get the Sentient AGI role. So my wife and I started working very hard. Now I want to share with you our display that is, our portfolio that we painstakingly prepared for days...
Please read this all the way through; this message is written for everyone in the community who, like us, worked hard and ended up disappointed. Also, this is by no means intended to be disrespectful to the Sentient project or team. On the contrary, our reason for speaking up is the trust we have in them. By sharing our portfolios, we aim to show the real effort behind them. All the friends I’ll mention at the end believe in the strength of their own portfolios and ask for them to be reviewed.
🔗 My Portfolio: ivory-nightshade-615.notion.…
🔗 My Wife’s Portfolio: shimmering-spectacles-a45.no…
Let me briefly summarize the content of our portfolio;
📌 I started working full-time on the project on July 27. Throughout the process, I shared Sentient content with ~99% consistency. I acted as an Educator-Helper. My wife started on August 9 and remained consistent throughout.
📌 In the last 3 months alone, I’ve contributed to the community with over 12,000+ Twitter comments. In total, this number is 15,000+. My wife made around 23,000+ comments in 3 months and a total of over 30,000.
📌 I produced 151 Sentient contents with over 210,000+ views. None were bot-generated. My wife had 150 contents and 223,000+ views, also all organic.
📌 My wife was among the Educator champions in the September Spotlight. One of my Educator contents was selected as a successful entry in Week 10.
📌 I made many community videos that were appreciated. With my wife’s idea, we wrote the Sentient logo, Dobby, and SENTIENT on our home wall as a family which shows how deeply we embraced Sentient.
📌 We saw a need and organized a Twitter Space broadcast with our beloved community manager @shad_haq_. Shad kindly joined, and the community loved it. Despite all odds, it lasted about 2.5 hours and was an effort for the community. Without Shad’s acceptance, it wouldn’t have happened but we organized, wanted, and succeeded. Huge thanks again to Shad.
📌 With our little son, we also tried to show our artistic side with a few drawings.
📌 Even though I had no coding experience, I built 2 Sentient apps. My goal was to improve as a Builder.
📌 We created 100+ visuals to make our content more enjoyable and readable. Even if they were AI-assisted, we spent a lot of effort. We worked hard to ensure each post had quality and promoted Sentient better.
📌 We attended 40+ community and team Space-AMA sessions only the ones we added to our portfolio.
📌 We attended 45+ Discord events (and probably forgot many more). My wife joined some while trying to put our 2 year old son to sleep.
📌 Since the beginning, we supported the project through @ethos_network, voted and commented on ROMA-ODS, and gave frequent feedback via Sentient Chat.
📌 Through Twitter, Telegram, and Discord, we introduced many people to Sentient and supported them. Especially in my wife’s DMs, 30+ people still have Sentient-related questions. Many even shared those conversations.
I could go on, but I want to get back to the point. Our sole goal throughout this journey was to earn the Sentient AGI role. We worked very hard and put in serious time and effort even sacrificing time with our young son. So I ask you now: Didn’t we truly embrace Sentient? Didn’t we deserve the Sentient AGI role?
I sincerely congratulate everyone who earned a role. Just put yourself in our place where does this much effort belong?
Now let’s talk about others in the community who are just as disappointed and heartbroken. I know many from my local community. I might forget a few. I’ll also mention someone from the global community whose hard work I’ve noticed.
My goal here is not “let us get the role we deserve.” It’s so our whole community can be heard. We aim to respectfully bring our voices to the valued Sentient team. Because we know Sentient is a great project, and the community stood by it until the end. We trust that you won’t let us down.
Dear
@sandeepnailwal @hstyagi @abhishek095 @shad_haq_ @vivekkolli @qzxcle @namyura_ @oleg_golev
Now I present you community members who trust in their portfolio and contributions. They are currently heartbroken and disappointed. I ask them to share their portfolios and the roles they’re applying for in the comments. I expect support from all my friends for this post...

SENTIENT RESEARCHER SPOTLIGHT: Pramod Viswanath
A cofounder of Sentient and Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at @Princeton, @viswanathpramod’s research spans information theory, cryptography, and learning theory, with a focus on making open models verifiable, attributable, and controllable.
He helped define the OML paradigm—ownership, control, and alignment for open models—and co-led OML 1.0 (Fingerprinting), demonstrating large-scale, utility-preserving model attribution.
Previously at UIUC and now at Princeton, he’s widely recognized across academia for foundational contributions in information theory and cryptography—and for translating them into practice for open-source AI.
Beyond OML, he has driven rigorous, field-scale evaluations and formalized governance primitives that tie cryptographic accountability, licensing economics, and alignment into a single fiduciary-first framework for open models.

Dropping some bonus content related to our “full-stack” excellence 😁
We recently presented at @COLM_conf 2025 in Montréal—in collaboration with @Princeton and @UTAustin—advancing long-horizon reasoning, multi-agent coordination, and social strategy.
SPIN-Bench is a unified benchmark for Strategic Planning, Interaction, and Negotiation, spanning PDDL planning, competitive/co-op games, and Diplomacy-style bargaining.
🧵 Dive deeper to learn why we built SPIN-Bench and how it advances frontier AI reasoning.
We’re excited to announce that @NeurIPSConf—the biggest AI conference in the world—has accepted 4 of our papers across various categories. Some might even call it “full-stack excellence” 😁
Here’s a sneak peek at our work that’s been recognized for their breakthroughs:
➡️ OML 1.0 (Main Track): scalable LLM fingerprinting—a hundredfold improvement on legacy fingerprinting attempts for open models, injecting 24,576 persistent prints while the previous max was ~100 fingerprints…without any drop in model performance.
➡️ LiveCodeBenchPro (Data & Benchmark Track): our customized benchmark focusing on programming ability, illustrating the true capabilities of models’ coding performance. On this benchmark, we were able to create models 10x smaller, using 20% of the data, to achieve comparable results to competing models.
➡️ MindGames Arena (Competition Track): selected by NeurIPS to run an AI competition for agents to improve themselves through social games. The next paradigm of AI improvement comes through self-optimization, and we’re extremely excited to be hosting this first-of-its-kind competition to create self-improving AI.
➡️ OML (Workshops & Tutorials—Lock-LLMs): our work established the challenge and solution around model security: a primitive that lets builders develop open models with verifiable, cryptographically enforced control under white-box access.
Stay tuned for deep-dive threads throughout the week!

2/ Products of the GRID
Recursive Open Meta Agent (ROMA): Multi-agent framework that breaks down complex queries into smaller, more achievable tasks. The first use-case (deep research) outperforms all existing deep research model platforms and is open for builders to fork/improve.
Open Deep Search (ODS): Open-source search framework that splits reasoning, search, and calculation tasks, achieving SOTA performance on standard search benchmarks.
Dobby: Open-source model that was one of the first models to prioritize human-like values (tone, loyalty/core beliefs, etc.) and built through 2M+ community members’ feedback.
Fingerprinting: Training library/method that protects a model’s identity, ensuring that open-source developers can verifiably prove their model ownership even if the model weights are fully revealed.
Sentient Chat: AI platform that coordinates intelligence within the GRID, providing a UI interface to the world's largest network of intelligence.

How do we define what makes AI “good”?
Most of today’s discourse reduces it to utility: how useful, how fast, how “smart.” However, utility alone is not enough. What truly makes a model great is its ability to encompass the randomness of human intelligence, matching the values of the communities that use it rather than the values of the corporations that made it.
At Sentient, we’re pursuing a different path. Through the GRID, the world’s largest network of intelligence, we’re building models that serve their communities first. Our work with Dobby and Loyalty Training builds on our earlier research into Fingerprinting, showing how open, community-driven methods can produce models that not only benchmark at state-of-the-art levels, but also reflect the values, voices, and needs of the people they belong to.
🧵 Let’s dive into the innovative model research we’ve done to contribute to the GRID

The GRID is designed to turn frontier research into shared, open infrastructure.
Open Deep Search (ODS) is one of our proudest additions: a modular retrieval + reasoning framework that shows how open-source systems can outperform proprietary stacks on real benchmarks. Fully forkable and extensible, ODS is available for anyone to integrate, adapt, and build on inside and outside the GRID.
🧵 Check out how we created the best open-source search framework that outperforms ChatGPT and Perplexity, all contributing to GRID.
