Trump’s closing message to voters ahead of the midterms: “You could even come to Mar-a-Lago… The problem is that for $5,000, the most you’ll be able to buy is a hamburger and maybe a small dessert. I’m not even sure you could buy that.”

Josh Shapiro slams Vivek Ramaswamy: I've prosecuted dozens of people for sexual abuse. A parent abusing their own child—those cases kept me up at night. The idea that a guy running for governor would weaponize that? That the vice president of the United States, who does this phony preacher nonsense about morality, would double down on it? It speaks to how profoundly and pathetically weak JD Vance is. It speaks to the character of Vivek Ramaswamy to attack a victim like that. It's disgusting.

It’s insane that Trump signed the Lindsey Graham Act to sanction countries buying Russian oil, just to turn around and buy Russian oil himself

President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day. Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine. As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia. America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration. Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Luciano Pavarotti was no friend of DJT — he’d have never aligned with such a narcissist. Trump claims Pavarotti “was a very good friend of mine” — not a chance. Luciano’s family ‘ceased and desisted’ him for using “Nessun Dorma” at his rallies in 2016. “…the values of brotherhood and solidarity which Luciano Pavarotti expressed throughout the course of his artistic career are entirely incompatible with the world view offered by the candidate Donald Trump” — they despise him. reuters.com/article/us-usa-e…

Let’s be clear: The President is advocating for an attack on 10+ million U.S. residents in two of America’s largest cities. This is not normal. None of this is. And we will continue to remind folks of that every day.

Trump has now banned CNN, MS NOW and POLITICO from entering the White House grounds.  That’s not all. He is threatening that more news organizations who criticize him, including the New York Times and Washington Post, will be next.  Why? Because when demagogues like Trump are in trouble they want to control the flow of information and silence media that might hold them accountable. We will not allow Trump to undermine the First Amendment, the Constitution and our democracy. We will not accept authoritarianism. Fight back.

Garcia: So, to be clear, we have a president that is $2 billion richer just from this last year. We have a son whose wedding is being paid for by rich Russians and oligarchs that have connections to Putin. We have Jared Kushner, who got $2 billion for his investment firm from the Saudis while also doing diplomacy in the Middle East. We have the Kushners who are trying to buy private islands and selling all sorts of merchandise that’s being promoted, oftentimes through government resources. We also have, of course, this insane amount of stock trading that the president himself is doing to enrich himself and his family. And, of course, the sons sitting on boards of private companies that are then getting contracts from the federal government. The amount of corruption is unprecedented. And not only are they lining their pockets, they’re stealing the wealth of hardworking Americans, they’re stealing the hard-earned labor and wealth of working-class people, and then funneling that money to themselves and to the rich donors and large corporations and CEOs across this country. As they get richer, costs go up for the American people. And we know that Republicans in the House and in the Senate are complicit by not calling out this corruption.

Piers Morgan: The moment I hear people calling Trump a Nazi, they lose me, and you've done this. You can hate Trump but there is no comparison between Trump and Hitler. Jennifer Welch: JD Vance called him America's Hitler. Trump said I want generals like Hitler's generals. His ex-wife said he had Mein Kampf on his nightstand. This man is America's Hitler.

The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontari’io, which, appropriately, means “the lake is beautiful, the lake is big”. The name is more than 400 years old, predating both the Confederation of Canada and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms. Canadians also know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario – then, now and always.
