kicked off #yayadvent with some delectable Christmas pud truffles from the very talented @scottishruth!

#yayadvent day three and the culinary delights continue with some rosemary infused olive oil... let’s hope this lasts longer than day one’s truffles did, which have all been devoured.

now at day four of #YayAdvent with some tablet (husband confirms is very good, inquired as to the martial status of @scottishruth) and bonus action shots of me enjoying the cranberry cordial from earlier in the week!

it’s my birthday and @277Hz wrapped my presents up using my scarf collection and presented them to me in an Iron Mountain box and I have never felt so seen.

Three years ago today I made a big discovery while at the @LdnMetArchives and had a happy cry in the toilets. I miss that day and simply being able to go to archives whenever. Thank you, archivists, for all that you're doing during COVID! Here's to more happy toilet cries soon 🀞

taking a moment to reflect upon all of the work that sector colleagues have done to reopen physical archive sites over the past few months, trying to balance access w/ keeping researchers & staff safe. it’s been A LOT, esp. w/ the whole pandemic of it all.

we won’t always get it right but there’s been so much reflexive practice amid truly terrible circumstances. archive workers are so much more than handmaidens to history (& researchers) & the last few months are testament to that.
