every product i use should just be a headless mcp, that feeds into an agent, where i never have to think about anything underneath. except for our product, of course. in our product, customers love the ui and love us very much. we're special that way.

I’m not a hardcore lyrics guy but this seems high for a song (Maps) with only one sentence
Rolling Stone reveals their top rock songs of the 21st century. 1. “Maps” - Yeah Yeah Yeahs 2. “Seven Nation Army” - The White Stripes 3. “Mr. Brightside” - The Killers 4. “good 4 u” - Olivia Rodrigo 5. “The National Anthem” - Radiohead 6. “I Know The End” - Phoebe Bridgers 7. “Last Nite” - The Strokes 8. “99 Problems” - Jay-Z 9. “I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor” - Arctic Monkeys 10. “Impossible Germany” - Wilco

That’s why he’s the goat!
Miyomoto's response to why AI is good is so eloquent I am honestly impressed.

You've been grinding on S-1 teardowns for years. Dozens of boring SaaS companies. The time is now. This is your moment.

Lots of VCs kindof sound like this: "Your basketball team doesn't have a moat, any healthy human can throw the ball into the basket thingy. " People who have not run companies before don't understand how much the team matters more than some imagined structural moat.

Do it for love of the game
This makes sense as an investor observation but I don’t want to celebrate it as advice for founders. There’s something dispiriting about treating people’s passion for their work as a problem. Is that really what we want to see in the world which already has enough mercenaries? Vanta is a great business, and I know Christina cares about the problem she’s solving. But I don’t way to celebrate this framing. I want founders to keep trying to do great things. To make something they care about better, and find out how much they can contribute. Investors should fund that ambition.

This isn’t the same thing despite common misconception. Predicting the color of the ball is in the world of risk: both possibilities and probabilities are known. The analytics decision is in the world of Knightian uncertainty: the probability is actually unknown. Sports analytics will try to convince you these are the same thing, but it’s fundamentally different. Historical numbers, comps etc do not have the precision that people falsely give them. They can be helpful in giving you directionality, but they are not precise probabilities. 51% basically tells you either option is fine, adjust for your own specific context and make your best decision under uncertainty.
If Kyle had to bet his life on predicting whether he chooses a red ball or a blue ball from a jar, and he was informed there are 51 red balls and 49 blue, which color should he predict?

This is my personal AGI benchmark
Given the acceleration Anthropic is reporting in coding, it is amazing that you still cannot change your email address in Claude and the official advice is that if you need to change your email the only way to do that is delete your account.

I don’t think you’ll really *get* YCSE unless you go in with some prior knowledge of Holmes and Theranos because you kinda need to know how absolutely dead to rights guilty she is to understand the fuckery going on

Three reasons why the data industry is dominated by young people (<28), even more so than other large AI markets: 1. We are at the beginning of a supercycle and young people are unburdened by priors of what durable equity value looks like 2. Young people have time and energy, and data is intense (part of what makes it hard) 3. AI researchers and adjacent lab employees also skew young, and these relationships matter a lot
