People don't realize that many patients with #LongCovid are now being treated in Brain Injury Clinics, together with patients recovering from traumatic brain injury after a concussion. It's been hard to keep up with the literature, here is one published yesterday #NeuroCovid

Behind the paper: Research questions about the effect of COVID-19 on the brain were formulated early in the pandemic and focused on acute brain inflammation, infarction, demyelination and psychiatric complications. However, it rapidly became apparent that many patients were describing lasting cognitive impairment. The research focus rapidly realigned to address to what extent these subjective complaints could be confirmed by objective measurement and whether neurobiological evidence existed on brain imaging and injury biomarkers.

Firstly, firing an employee for simply taking sick leave is wrongful termination. Secondly, busy or not, having a contagious person come into work to get the rest of your staff and customers sick is just bad business. Management needs to learn how to be better at their jobs.
