I-90 east of Luverne: Due in part to weather, the riprap project at Elk Creek east of Luverne has been delayed and is now expected to begin November 16, weather permitting.
Expect lane & shoulder closures in both directions on I-90 east of Luverne at Elk Creek beginning Nov. 2 until late Nov. as crews place riprap (rock) to stabilize slopes damaged during 2024 flooding. Watch for workers and equipment. 511mn.org
The Veterans Memorial Bridge in Mankato/North Mankato has officially reopened to traffic! (October 31 @ 2:55 p.m.).
Due to a few minor delays, including rain, the Veterans Memorial Bridge is now expected to reopen to traffic by 5 p.m. today (October 31), instead of at 1 p.m. We appreciate your continued patience as crews work to safely reopen the bridge. 511mn.org

Local veterans, along with state, federal and local officials, joined MnDOT today to celebrate the reopening of the Veterans Memorial Bridge and to honor veterans & service members for whom the bridge is dedicated. The bridge is expected to reopen to traffic by 1 p.m. on Oct. 31.
Lane restrictions in both directions near the Hwy 14 MN River Bridge in Mankato starting Nov. 2 as crews prepare to install new center-median lighting. Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction for several days. Crews will return in mid-Nov. to finish. 511mn.org
The Veterans Memorial Bridge in Mankato/North Mankato will reopen by 1 p.m. Oct. 31. Ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 30 at 2 pm–everyone welcome! Remaining work: overhead sign installation (one- or two-day detour required) and ornamental railing. Watch for periodic lane closures.

Heads up, drivers! Highway 59 near Jack Creek, located between Fulda and Worthington, will be closed for about a week starting November 2 while crews complete concrete repairs. Traffic will be detoured to Nobles County Roads 14, 1 and 16. 511mn.org
The water main work a the Blue Earth rest areas has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 27. The rest area buildings will be closed from around 7 am to 3 pm. The parking lots will remain open.

To complete this year’s sanitary, watermain, and storm sewer work on Hwy 109 in Wells, construction crews will need to use the Hwy 22/Hwy 109 intersection. As a result, Hwy 22 will be closed from Friday, October 16 to Tuesday, October 20. Project info:
