Think ABs to smash Scotland but I may be wrong Here’s my thinking: Scotland full welly beaten by Bok B, to be generous ABs only slightly behind Bok A++ Do the math Scotland has NEVER beaten the ABs This is not the worst AB team, in fact a very good one Last year’s ABs was at that stage a disharmonious infighting shambles… and still beat essentially this same Scotland May be wrong, but how?

Think ABs will smash England but I may be wrong Here’s my thinking: RGR was played away, against #1 team, who has best defense and total forward dominance… and we were hanging on by the skin of our teeth against the slickest attack system since the late 90s Brumbies If they get their attack going like they did against us I don’t see anyone else keeping head above water England is behind SA in forward power and suffocating defense, so all things being equal: Trouble with a capital T But, injuries etc and IF they can replicate their attack
Even in 2022, in the dog days of E Jones, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 managed to come from 25-6 down in the 69th minute to draw 25-25. Whilst 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 have only beaten 🇳🇿 twice since 2012, the games have always been extremely close. With 🇳🇿 injuries, I don't see it being anything else other than a nail biter

Precisely The milk cows are going to get milked mercilessly this November Italy and Wales will be catching strays
Replying to @moi_pseudo
Rassie is gunning for Nations Championship glory, going for maximum points tally vs Italy.... This is the strongest possible Springbok team , considering all the injuries. 89-100 points win here vs Italy means ...Trying to keep the All Blacks out of Final with points difference

So what has Italy done to piss off Rassie? Because they don’t deserve this

Siyaya humming at about 7 defenders beaten per 80mins For context, per Opta according to Grok (ie 50/50 true), last season: 1. Zekhethelo Siyaya 10.8 2. Jacob Stockdale 4.9 4. Cheswill Jooste 4.5 Only the two teenagers in the Top 5
Taine Basham figuring prominently in the @URCOfficial attacking stats.

Say you were investigating whether the demands on rugby players were more than the human body can tolerate, what metric or variable would you monitor?
That’s some absentee list for Italy as they prepare to take on South Africa, Argentina and Fiji.

If Jake White can get the Fijians to resist high shots… then he is the greatest coach ever Rassie is Rassie but even he cannot work actual miracles

A dissenting or at least cautionary note: Yaq had a great game. Amazing really for age and game # But, imnsho, most important attribute for a flyhalf is consistency, esp at Test level So can only really judge after a season or so Wondering whether your Bok 10 is, today, going to be Superman or super pants… is no way to go through life

If the All Black attack hums like it did in RGR then … England is eating a 50-burger minimum
Steve Borthwick says England must bridge the gap between PREM and Test rugby if they are to be successful this autumn.

Check this pattern: Whenever the replacements come on our teams surge Because our replacements are progressively becoming more starter-quality as the talent pool fills from the talent pipeline Not hyperbole to say at Stormers Bulls Sharks it’s becoming a dogfight just to get on the bench… ex-Boks, future-Boks, would’ve-been-Boks, should’ve-been-Boks, and why-the-hell-not-Boks everywhere
This connects with my earlier tweet about SA Rugby Franchises and their new found depth!!! If I may add big thank you to the Junior Springbok set-up (EPD System) as well.

Just noticed, and can’t stop laughing: That’s the loosehead bailing and ending up on his knees, facing backwards… 5m behind the scrum Like a fighter pilot pulling the eject! eject! eject! lever

Found it hilarious that they considered Munster TH for MotM, for sort of dealing with the problem that is Ox… but not Ox, who is the problem

This is spot on — we are drowning in backline phenoms but the next link in the Bakkies —> Eben —> ? chain has not yet materialized Personally believe WCs are won by forwards in general and tight 5 in particular and locks yet more particularly, and nothing can convince me otherwise Hookers and props we have coming out of our ears, 5 locks too It is just in the position where we have been most blessed historically where we now have a drought Burden is the hope #1 Augustyn (2.04 120 and mobile) we didn’t get to see this year coz injury but is off to France Heinrich Theron and JD Hattingh loves contact but is perhaps a touch short James Schnettler with Lions u20 looks mental but perhaps a touch sleight, though much can happen between 20 and 25 Eben sprang fully formed from Zeus’ head (like Athena for the mythologically challenged) but Bakkies, eg, only really came through at 24 Anyone else? Submissions are welcome
it is exciting.. but still we turn our eyes to the hills , waiting for the next great Springbok bruiser lock to arrive . Maybe Juvan Burden. or some other youngster who will pop some time soon 🙏🏻

Everyone on X has a 170 IQ and Every second rugby player has a 10.7/10.8s 100m Not saying he’s lying Just saying I don’t believe it For context, here is Cheswil J running 10.91 His fastest time is 10.74s with a 1.1+ wind
Hacjivah Dayimani: 10.68 sec | 100 m I'd pay good money to watch a 100 m race between Hacjivah, Evan Roos and Cam Hanekom! #STOvULS #URC #Springboks

Just to educate those who are new to this or that have not been paying attention: if South Africa and Australia started a Test series tomorrow… Australia would be unanimous favorites everywhere outside South Africa If you don’t believe this, make a note for when next we meet
