In 2009 for my birthday I hosted a massive French picnic at Yerba Buena Park. I sewed aprons for 20 friends. There was wine, cheese and duck confit. Then we all went to watch "Julie & Julia" at the Metreon. It was wonderful.
Earthquake! The dog has been weird all morning.
I was at my worktable and the hanging pattern clips gave a little shake.

There are so many empty homes and units on my block in San Francisco. Three empty apartment units (one is for sale), a large home someone bought last year and hasn't fixed up, and a house that's been empty for 20 years.
