This ice skater was skating right after the NEUTRAL AIN ROCKET, who had a QUAD. The judges were conspiring against her, so she intentionally didn’t do any QUAD SPINS to protest against them, and they had no choice but to give her the gold.

it’s so clear that mone is levels above the rest in skating skills (and spins ofc) her every movement is so smooth and she executes difficult turns and deep edges with twice as much speed. I can’t believe people were calling her overscored

i feel like a broken record for saying this but it seems like a reminder is needed that skating skills and spins are athletic skills too and so is the endurance to skate a free program with complex transitional content to the end and make it look effortless
