Many black kids have spent their life clingy to racially ambiguous characters to feel represented. Most will never understand what it is like to never see the world reflected in your image. I was 15 the first time I saw a Superhero (Black Panther) who looked like me.

also listen, we went through an oversaturation of "brown haired white boy has silly adventure with friends" cartoons for DECADES i think we can survive an "oversaturation" of "queer girl leads saving the world with the power of friendship" for a bit

Sonnet 116. Patrick's favourite. Take one minute out of your day to hear the bard's words spoken by someone who lived by them.

it shouldn’t be a surprise that the most viewed and prominent indie shows with fandoms are lore driven shows made for gay teens, not just for the above reason, but also because gay teens tend to be the audience that is online and the most active within fandoms

A few paintings done by @chenalii in the early production of the “Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender” film. These are absolutely amazing. Check out more of their art on Twitter or Instagram. They’re so talented instagram.com/chenalii?vrfl=…
