I’m in Budapest for EMNLP 🇭🇺 happy to chat about topics about understanding model behavior, agent tool calling, personalization and multi-agents (and any other interesting topics!) I’m also near graduation and planning for the next positions in those areas 👻 #EMNLP2026

I will be hiring phd students to work on the economics of generative AI, counterfactuals in ML, and human-ai collaboration through @ELLISforEurope and the MP-AIX program. Please, spread the word. Happy to chat in person at NeurIPS in Paris or via [email protected] (1/n)

We do need controllers for LLM agents! But when to call a tool depends on the underlying LLM’s capabilities. How does Jev account for that, especially with unseen models?
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

We’ve decided to open-source a multi-agent harness we use internally at YC. We call it “QM” and it’s meant to be easy to customize, like Hermes or OpenClaw, but useful for a whole company. We use it across accounting, legal, events, and engineering (including building QM itself!). The whole project is under an MIT license. It is cloud-first and has Slack and web UI natively.

🙋‍♀️ Excited to be at ICLR 2026 in Rio (22–27)! 🌍 We have 4 papers — 2 in the main conference, 2 at the Agents in the Wild workshop — on trustworthy ML: post-training, interpretability, and AI reliability. Opening the black box to understand how models learn and behave in deployment. Would love to connect with anyone working on impactful AI problems — research or industry! 🎉 #ICLR #LLM #TrustworthyML

This week, I will be in #Paris for the @IASEAIorg conference, presenting another work on how all three aspects- privacy, utility, and efficiency are achievable during fine-tuning LLMs. I’ll be talking about it this Wednesday in Track 9 on assessing risks in human-AI interaction.

New paper 🚨: "In Agents We Trust, but Who Do Agents Trust? Latent Source Preferences Steer LLM Generations" Here, we focus on a novel consideration that arises when designing trustworthy LLM agents: how does the latent knowledge of LLMs shape which information they privilege?
