Dave explains on the steelbook commentary for season 1 that losing the shoto was just part of upping the stakes on Peridea. A way to continue to show Morgan as formidable and a threat in that final duel.
In a way I think it’s also Ahsoka having to relearn everything. She has overcome her past, she’s fully taken on a padawan, but she’s also reborn in many ways. Part of having one blade is that she is “back to the beginning”, before she gained her second blade. *Beginning is a word that will mean a lot this season*.
I also just have my personal white whale theory which is that Dave freed one of her hands for the staff 😎😎 Right, Dave?! @starwars

As far as I know, that is *also* a separate location. (There may or may not be a bas-relief we’ve all become recently familiar with behind her in that shot).
So that makes 3 different ‘temples’ Ahsoka/Sabine alone interact with 🦉

But some of y’all are genuinely lacking in any sort of common sense when it comes to leaks and leakers.
Don’t treat leakers like God. Don’t treat their word as Law. Don’t expect them to be 100% right. And if you think they should be, ask yourself why? And how that could even be possible?
And if you don’t like it, why are you engaging? Why do you care?
Seems like some of y’all just want to hold on to delusions or expectations which is sad. Oh well.

In season 1 of AHSOKA, Baylan Skoll calls Peridea a place of "dreams and madness". How far until his dreams turn him to madness? 👀
Based on a June 2025 interview (right) with Rory McCann, it looks like we'll be seeing a very scraggly-bearded Baylan Skoll on his quest in AHSOKA season 2.
We do not know if the beard is further colored white or kept natural, as pictured. We do know that he wears a short, white wig in the style of the season 1 hair. Perhaps this more weathered appearance gives us a clue into what Baylan is thinking.
From what we've been told, though, Rory does a fantastic job and carries Ray Stevenson's original performance beautifully.
In Season 2, Baylan has one goal, one purpose. And he will not be stopped in his attempt. In season 1, his motives changed once he learned the truth of Peridea. Now, he knows what he seeks.

For shits and giggles, I had a look. We were shown the majority of official photography stills for season 1 only about 7 weeks before the premiere…soooo mid December for teaser / another poster / more stills is what to set your heart on! 🦉
