Seems pretty obvious that retailers blocking agents from buying their products is going to backfire.

Oof, founders need to be careful who they raise money from. There are a lot of amazing investors in the ecosystem, but a lot of awful ones too. A bad choice can have long term consequences.

LLMs are magic for many use cases, but not all.

Nobody takes the time to write short letters anymore, so they vibe write long ones instead.

Companies are going to see existential ebbs and flows in LLM-based customer acquisition each time these models get updated. stale.jock.pl/

The word "load-bearing" does a lot of load-bearing in this LLM documentation.

What’s the probability that Dropbox, Stripe, or Facebook would have been as successful if LLMs had existed at the time of their founding?

Lots of talk these days about how VCs only want trillion dollar outcomes now, and how difficult that is if you're a founder. Well I have good news, if you're a founder in the AI age, you don't need to care one whit about what a VC thinks about your company With AI you can keep your team super lean and small, grow profitably and share the upside with your team. That should be your default. Only raise if you're absolutely bursting at the seams with demand and somehow your business model doesn't allow you convert that demand into upfront cash. Also in that happy case, you can probably raise *unsecured* debt to finance contracts, which is zero dilution and control given up. VC funding only makes sense in the rarest of scenarios. Don't get seduced by the few outlier cases that blow up on X or by your early stage investors pushing you to raise more and boost their markups. Founder FOMO is real too, understand it and conquer it.

Vibe coding with subsidized tokens is basically pair programming with a VC.

Literally just having a delusional golden retriever mindset measurably changes outcomes and physiology. Sleep badly? Convince yourself you're well rested. Stressful day? Convince yourself it's fuel. Failed? Convince yourself it's useful data.

Fiverr accidentally made customer tax returns and other sensitive files publicly searchable on Google. Even if this wasn't caused by agentic coding, expect way more incidents like this as AI matures and developers become increasingly detached from what's happening underneath.

My op-ed in the SF Standard We need to examine how the virtue signaling nonprofit industrial complex is complicit in making Asian Americans unsafe in San Francisco and nationally Watch where your dollars go

Amazon used to pride itself on one-click checkout. Now, you need to click all over creation to avoid adding groceries to your cart.

A potential scenario for the economy driven by AI 😬
JUNE 2028. The S&P is down 38% from its highs. Unemployment just printed 10.2%. Private credit is unraveling. Prime mortgages are cracking. AI didn’t disappoint. It exceeded every expectation. What happened? citriniresearch.com/p/2028gi…

We can ignore reality, but we cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.
Sanders: I'm going to introduce legislation for a moratorium on data centers. Data centers are the infrastructure of AI. We are totally unprepared for what is coming. You are seeing now is literally a cognitive decline among young people in this country. Their attention spans are worse, significantly worse. I worry very much what used to be science fiction that the the computers will take over—there is now a legitimate fear that artificial general intelligence will not only become smarter than human beings, they'll be able to communicate with each other independent of humanity.

Penalizing a successful entrepreneur to give up >100% of their startup stake is absurd policy... It makes starting a company in California untenable.
California wealth tax insanity: Tony Xu, DoorDash's co-founder, would owe over $4B in tax on his $2.5B stake.
