Canary, I like how you ask the hard questions.
It is 2026, and there is more food waste in restaurants despite other Ugandans dying of hunger. One study revealed that Schools , hotels and restaurants alone generate about 80,000 kg daily across Kampala. There should be a nexus.

UGX 180 million becomes smaller when converted to Kenyan money or USD.
The only constant is the value of the finished product.

Yesterday I spent the full day in the wild to inspect the A-frames we have built at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. We put 4 cabins here and we are the first to do it in Uganda at an international standard.
I have been building something.
After years of working in grassroots climate action, I kept seeing the same problem:
So much climate action is happening across Africa, but much of it remains invisible, difficult to measure, and difficult to scale.
So I started building a platform to change that.
Helping climate organizations document, measure, verify, and discover their work.
It's still early. But this is the beginning.

RWENZORI MARATHON 2026

Look at what we just put together around Njeru
We have changed the face of things in both countries Kenya and Uganda. Kenya had already gone deeper with timber innovations and they are still ahead of Uganda despite importing timber from countries like this one.
This particular one must be the 11th project of similar nature that maximises the beauty of R. Nile

This is the most exciting part of the project, when fixtures come in and every space makes sense 😄😄

Successfully handed over to the owner in 3 months - Fort Portal
In May, we were casting the foundation. Yesterday we successfully handed over the house to the owner. Very happy people
Built in Fort Portal, facing the wonderful Crater Lake.
The building occupies 215 sqm and was fully designed and built by the people of Uganda with timber grown in Jinja.
It is a 4 Bedroom house, with 2 bathrooms and a clerestory roof. Do you know that you can design your own house and get the cost estimate in real time? see the link below to get started.

📍Next stop Buliisa, No one builds Luxury like us !
🤔 Life is like a Timber prefabrication factory, as one house completes its stages in house, it leaves forever and anew house enters to begin its journey.

Who is adding Value to Ugandan timber?
Together with my team , we add value to timber by converting it into durable construction parts that will last for generations. Everything is localised.
No need to import fancy product from abroad when we have the skills and enough resources to make them here.
These homes are modular and circular, the best part about them is that you can relocate your house if you want without causing construction waste. Therefore you can sell land and take away your house.
Each house we build sustains an equivalent of a football field that is full of trees , we use only pine because of many reasons.
The homes are assembled in about 30 days , treated against tropical threats like termites, rains, these homes are insulated.
Prices range from 43 - 173 millions in 2026.

With timber construction, you just have to be open minded or else you may miss the most important moment in the industry today

Before we started building with timber , everyone had different thoughts about it despite the existing old building stocks that were designed and built out of this Carbon negative material.
From Kisoro to Fort portal all way through Kasese we have established our footprint.
I believe in timber and I know how much potential it can make for this country. Last week President @KagutaMuseveni approved Wooden crockery and I saw it as a win for biobased industry.
Let’s stop seeing timber as firewood or stands for scaffolding but rather as a renewable resource that has the potential to change the way we live.

We had to hand over this cabin this week so that Easter finds it ready.
By the way having a deck is one of the best
things on a house, in the past, even hospitals could put beds on the deck , the reason was to enjoy the Vitamin D, today the deck is your neighbours door step, very sad 😔
Anyway, having a backup Solar systems also comes handy, its true, quality solar systems are quite costly in the beginning but you do it once and for all. – at Kampala, Uganda

Saturdays are for checking on Project progress. This is one of the 5 to be built large timber homes in Mukono but I have a question.
Why do some people still build with bricks in 2026 really 🤔?

I passed by the site today and the finishing works are moving on well.
This 4 bedroom house is gonna be a good one, the client chose it because of the fact that it was affordable and easier to set up.
No one could have done it if not us.
If you have any questions about it please share and we shall respond as soon as possible.
