DEBUNKING THE ‘FLYDUBAI’ CONSPIRITARDS 🤡 1 of 3
1. "How did he get a weapon onboard?"
The Fact: He didn't sneak a knife past security. The official UAE investigation report confirmed the co-pilot used the cockpit’s own crash axe. By international law, a crash axe is a mandatory piece of emergency equipment standard-stored inside the cockpit. He simply reached over and grabbed the plane's own tool to launch the attack.
2. "Why did a plumber take control and not the 2 pilots?"
The Fact: This is completely scrambling the timeline. When the bleeding captain unlocked the door, passengers rushed in to wrestle the attacker. Passenger Yaniv Hayoun (the plumber) saw the plane diving, lunged forward, and pulled back on the yoke to level the aircraft based on what he'd seen on Air Crash Investigation. The two deadheading reserve pilots in the cabin then immediately entered the flight deck, assumed formal control of the instruments, and safely navigated the aircraft to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
3. "How did the Capt open the door while being stabbed?"
The Fact: He didn't casually stand up and twist a mechanical doorknob. Captain Smit Machchhar explicitly stated in his interview that he was on the floor bleeding when he realised the plane was plunging. Knowing lives were at stake, he gathered his strength for one final push to hit the electronic door override release switch right next to the seat console, unlocking it so the cabin crew and passengers could rush in.
4. "Where are the oxygen masks?"
The Fact: This is an embarrassing failure of basic systems knowledge. Emergency oxygen masks are triggered strictly by cabin barometric pressure, not by pitch, dives, or sudden altitude drops. Because the fuselage was perfectly intact, the cabin never lost air density or pressure. The aircraft computer had absolutely zero mechanical reason to deploy the masks.
5. "Why was he speaking English to Bibi / in bloody clothes?"
The Fact: The plumber, Yaniv Hayoun, is an Israeli citizen. When Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called him to thank him for saving the flight, they spoke in Hebrew, not English. As for the blood-soaked shirt, he spent hours being interviewed by Saudi security and medical teams at Tabuk Airport immediately after landing. He was a passenger in transit who had just wrestled a bleeding attacker in a cockpit—he didn’t have a fresh change of clothes packed in his carry-on bag.
6. “Why were all the screens off?”
The Fact: Flydubai is a low-cost carrier. A massive portion of their economy cabins don't even feature seatback entertainment screens, or they are entirely deactivated behind a corporate paywall unless a passenger pays to unlock them. Even on aircraft with screens, when a commercial plane undergoes a violent, uncommanded 14,000-foot altitude plunge, the aircraft's automated electrical computers instantly initiate load-shedding. The plane immediately cuts power to all non-essential luxury systems (like passenger TVs, galley ovens, and seat outlets) to ensure 100% of the electrical grid is dedicated strictly to the cockpit displays, flight instruments, and backup hydraulic pumps keeping the plane from breaking apart.
OTHER DEBUNKED FALLACIES
* The 'Unbreakable' Door: Nobody broke it down. The official investigation logs prove that the hero captain, Smit Machchhar, manually hit the electronic cockpit override switch to unlock the door from the inside so passengers could rush in and save his life.
* The 'Spare Pilots' Fail: Off-duty flight crew traveling as passengers is a daily industry routine called 'deadheading.' Repositioning reserve crews to major hubs like Tel Aviv happens every single day. They didn't stage a fight; they stepped in to land the plane after regular passengers restrained the attacker.

Nice to see the Globe finally embracing *some* conservative positions on education.
But they don't touch a key underlying factor: social justice activism motivates the unions and education schools.
We need to root out revolutionaries or we'll keep failing our kids.
👏 The Globe & Mail editorial team absolutely nailed it with this. People are paying attention. No more excuses. Canada has an education problem and we have to fix it.
Summary:
🔸 Canada's education scores are declining on both PISA and TIMSS
🔸 We have way more low performers and fewer high performers
🔸 Canada spends significantly on education and needs to better allocate those resources
🔸 Downward trend started before COVID
🔸 Movement away from methods that work, like explicit instruction, has likely had a negative impact
🔸 Rampant grade inflation, with a mention of U of Waterloo instructor, Dan Wolczuk
🔸 Open door to tech in the classroom has not helped
🔸 Teachers unions have pushed back against things that could help like early screening for reading
🔸 Faculties of education have not always been on board with equipping teachers with the tools that will help teachers teach effectively
🔸 Look towards England, which has managed to buck the trend. Regular phonics screening, a times table check, calculator ban on standardized tests, etc.
🔸 Provincial governments must take action.
Last paragraph is amazing:
"PISA might seem like a test for Canadian school children, but it’s really a test for policymakers and educators on how they are running the schools. Right now, they are failing. In order to turn around test scores, and put children back on the path of achievement, they need to fundamentally change how students are being taught."

On the evening of 20 March 1974, Princess Anne and her husband, Captain Mark Phillips, were being driven back to Buckingham Palace along The Mall when a white car swerved in front of them and forced them to stop.
The driver, Ian Ball, got out armed with two revolvers. He s*ot her protection officer, Inspector Jim Beaton, her chauffeur, a journalist and a police constable. He then tried to drag the Princess from the back of the car, while she flatly refused to go and her husband held on to her.
Ronnie Russell was 28, a married father of two from Strood in Kent, and a former heavyweight boxer. He was simply driving home from work when he saw what was happening. He pulled over and ran back towards the gunfire.
Seeing the gunman gripping the Princess by the arm, Ronnie punched him on the back of the head. Ball spun round and f*red at him. The s*ot missed. Ronnie didn't back off. He came round the car again and, as the g*nman made another grab for the Princess, hit him in the face. As police officers began to arrive, Ball ran, and was chased down and arrested.
Princess Anne and Captain Phillips were unhurt. Every man Ball shot that night survived. Ronnie later said: "I honestly thought that I was going to die."
He was awarded the George Medal. When the Queen presented it to him at Buckingham Palace that November, she told him the medal was from the Queen, but she wanted to thank him as Anne's mother.
An ordinary bloke, on his way home, who ran towards the danger. That's the kind of courage worth remembering.

My shame of the week award goes to Zack Polanski. Not for being the Green Party’s Jewish leader who has embraced the most extreme anti-Israel politics in British public life, and helped stir the antisemitism now running through the country. That was already shameful enough.
This week he hit a new low. The Daily Mail caught him out on his own family story. He told the Green Party conference, and a BBC Question Time audience, that his ancestors fled pogroms, ended up in Poland, “faced the Nazis,” and then arrived in England.
Records show all four of his grandparents were born in northern England between 1916 and 1934. His great-grandparents were already here, long before Hitler invaded Poland.
Borrowing a Holocaust flight for his own family story is an outrageous lie. There is something certifiably off-kilter about a man who does this.
A remarkable story of courage — with a Canadian connection.
This week, Canadians watched in awe as Indian pilot Smit Machchhar and Israeli passengers subdued a terrorist and helped safely land a nosediving FlyDubai 737, saving more than 170 lives.
But did you know there's a Canadian connection:
Israeli passenger Yaniv Hayoun, who had no piloting experience, knew how to help take control of the aircraft after watching the Canadian-made TV series Mayday.
Produced in Toronto by Cineflix, the series has aired for 27 seasons. Executive producer Alex Bystram said it was deeply rewarding to see the series associated with a story that had a happy ending.
A Canadian-made show. A UAE airliner. Israeli passengers. An Indian pilot. And more than 170 lives saved.

🇨🇦 LEST WE FORGET 🇨🇦
OCTOBER 2, 1944 — THE BATTLE OF THE SCHELDT
On this day in 1944, Canadian soldiers began one of the most difficult and costly campaigns of the Second World War.
The Allies had captured the great Belgian port of Antwerp a month earlier — but there was a problem. German forces still controlled the Scheldt estuary, the long waterway connecting Antwerp to the North Sea.
Until the Scheldt was cleared, the enormous port was virtually useless to the advancing Allied armies.
On October 2, the 2nd Canadian Infantry Division began pushing north from Antwerp toward South Beveland, while Canadian forces prepared to fight their way through a landscape seemingly designed to favour the defenders.
Much of the country was flat and flooded. Soldiers advanced across exposed ground through mud and water, under fire from well-entrenched German positions. Mines, booby traps, driving rain and flooded fields made every kilometre costly.
The battle would rage for more than five weeks through the Breskens Pocket, South Beveland and Walcheren Island.
When organized German resistance finally ended on November 8, the First Canadian Army had taken more than 41,000 prisoners and opened the approaches to Antwerp.
The victory came at a terrible price.
The First Canadian Army suffered 12,873 killed, wounded or missing — including 6,367 Canadians.
On November 28, the first Allied convoy finally sailed into Antwerp, opening the supply route that would help carry the Allied armies through the final months of the war in Europe.
Today, we remember the Canadians who fought through the mud, water and gunfire of the Scheldt.
Lest we forget. 🇨🇦

Prince was asked to do a solo on a cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps and he showed up to the rehearsal and barely played anything. Didn’t have any solo ready at all and didn’t play one. They asked what he was going to play and he just said “Don’t worry about it.”
Then, on the night of the performance he just looms out of the shadows and plays this. The way he pivots off that F# root note into Dorian mode is so good. Massively underrated guitarist.

So people keep going back to “Israel invaded the land” and “Israel stole the land” and “Nakba-this” and “Nakba-that” and all sorts of other stories about why they justify Oct 7 and why Israel is in the wrong.
Let’s clear a few things up.
The land that is now Israel was lived in by both Muslims and Jews for a long time. If you want to get technical about who was there first, it was the Jews. How do we know this for a fact? Well, first of all, Jews have been around for about 2000 years longer than Muslims.
Not enough for you?
OK. How about the fact that the word “Israel” is mentioned in the Quran about 43 times. Palestine? Never once.
Jewish people have been around longer than Muslim people have – fact.
Jewish people were living in the place where Israel is much longer than Arabs have – also fact.
In about 1250 BCE, the Jewish people went to what was then called Canaan – where Israel sits today. This is when they escaped slavery in Egypt, and wandered the dessert for 40 years. 1250BCE. About 1860 years before the founding of Islam.
Fast forward to modern times. 1940s. Yes, there were both Arab-Muslims and Jews living on the land that is now called Israel. And yeah, there was fighting. On both sides.
After the Holocaust, the push for the Jewish people to have their own country intensified. During WWII, too many countries turned their backs on Jews. A Jewish homeland would ensure that Jews always had somewhere to go. There could never be another Holocaust, another ethnic cleansing of Jews.
Additionally, the UK was tired of dealing with all the fighting in the British Mandate of Palestine (what Israel was called before it was Israel), and wanted to wash their hands of it.
So what did they do?
They offered to split the land amongst the two groups living there. The Arab-Muslims and the Jews. Sounds fair, right? Each could have their own State, completely autonomous. Pretty good deal, wouldn’t you think?
I think it was a good deal. The Jews thought it was a good deal. Do you know who didn’t think it was a good deal? The Arab-Muslims. Do you know why? Because they didn’t want the Jews to have anything.
So the day after Israel became a nation, the Arabs attacked. 5 Arab nations attacked, in what would be known as the Arab-Israeli war.
Do you know what else it became known as? The Nakba. Nakba for catastrophe. Because they lost. The Arab world says it’s because Arabs were displaced. But they chose to be displaced. Because they chose not to accept their own nation. They left. They ran away. Because they thought the Jews would lose and they'd be able to go back.
The Arabs have been fighting ever since. At some point in time in the 1960s, the Arab-Muslims who were trying to claim Israel as theirs, started to refer to themselves as Palestinians.
Land has been offered. A Palestinian state has been offered. All that the Palestinians had to do, was accept Israel’s right to exist. To stop attacking and trying to destroy them.
Why don’t the Palestinians have their own State?
Because they refuse to. They refuse to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist.
Muslim nations in this world, take up 29.13 million square km.
Israel is 21,671 square km.
Jews have 0.1% of the land that Muslims have.
And according to the Radicalized Muslims, that’s too much.
This isn’t about the land.
This is about Radicalized Muslims not wanting Jews to exist.

BREAKING:
The co-pilot who attempted crash an Israel-bound flight has been revealed as the UK-educated Islamist and Omani national Hamam Al Hammam.
He had completed a 3-year distance-learning course at the Buckinghamshire New University and graduated with a degree in aviation management.
He also studied engineering at a university in Australia.
The UAE Attorney General Hamad Saif Al Shamsi has now stated that the co-pilot had “attempted to carry out a terrorist act.”
Western mainstream media such as the BBC and CNN have been describing what happened as “a scuffle” or “spat between pilots” even though it was clear from the start that it was highly likely that it was Islamist extremism behind an Omani co-pilot stabbing an Indian pilot 10 000 feet in the air.
In all the countries involved, the UAE, India, Saudi Arabia and Israel, the media quickly drew the conclusion that it was an Islamist terror attack.
It was only the self-hating Western media which refused to see the obvious. That says a lot about our media elite and the lengths it will go to in order to protect mass-immigration, multiculturalism and Islamist extremism.
