𝐈 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐂𝐀𝐍’𝐓 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐓𝐎 𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐁𝐘! 🇿🇦❤️ What an experience. What a day. What a spectacular football culture. The attendance, the atmosphere, the people, the music, the culture, the beautiful stadium views and, above all, the football. Everything about this derby is special. More than 90,000 people came together to celebrate football. Different colours, different loyalties, different songs but one shared love for the beautiful game. What impressed me the most was how everything came together. People arrived on time. The game kicked off on time. Supporters walked in together, sat together, enjoyed the occasion together and went home with memories. There were no incidents, no fighting, no attacks, no violence. Just thousands of passionate football lovers enjoying their football. A huge credit to the organisers, the stadium authorities, security personnel and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this possible. But above all, 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐀 𝐁𝐎𝐖, 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐓𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐀𝐍𝐒! 👏🏾 You made this occasion what it was. The singing, the dancing, the loyalty, the energy and the respect shown throughout the day were incredible. I have covered and attended many derbies across Africa, but there is something truly unique about the Soweto Derby. It gives you a beautiful picture of the love South Africans have for football. If you love football, make it a point to experience the Soweto Derby at least once in your lifetime and you’ll never regret. South Africa, you will continue to earn my respect. Thank you for the love and hospitality. I will never forget this experience. ❤️🇿🇦 #SowetoDerby #SouthAfrica #AfricanFootball #VisitSouthAfrica – at Johannesburg, South Africa
