Like a squad of new signings. I fear for Chelsea this weekend
🚨 Michael Carrick: “I spoke with the players and I have to say, the boys are hungry”. “We're hurting because we haven't won enough football games, but there's an intensity, there's a bit of an edge, there's a disappointment, there's a hunger to do better”.

Tevez behaved badly towards United when he was at city but United let him down badly too Definitely one of those I wish had been handled differently. He was an amazing player and seems as though he was well liked by his team mates
🚨🗣️ Carlos Tevez revealed why he left United and the BROKEN promises: “For me it was HARD Rio. It was hard because I felt like I'd given my heart to United. And I didn't feel the same. “They spoke to me before the two year loan. After, if you play well, we PAY the contract after one year.  “Fergie told me, ‘Carlos, now I'm going to pay out your contract and you're going to stay in Manchester’. “The team went to a pre-season. I remember this conversation with Fergie. He said ‘I’m going to pay for Berbatov but you, don't worry, I'm going to buy you and we'll do your contract. “For me, the people [United fans] understand. They don’t understand about Fergie speaking to me, or behind the scenes. What happened between Fergie and me, I think people don't understand that. “I think that Ferguson had, from the day we talked, up to six months to keep his word. And he didn't. On the contrary, he started leaving me on the bench. “In my head, he started pushing me aside so he could bring down what I was worth. And that's what hurt me the most. “If you remember, we won the Champions League. We won the league and, and then, to bring down my price, they brought in a player and I carried on the same way for the first months. “The second months, let's say, of the second year. But by the second, the second month, I didn't want to know any more. “I had a great time at United. The other team, City, for me, was like a revenge. I didn't get back what I gave.” #MUFC [@RioMeets, @MailSport]

A few days ago it was the board need to go and now we’re expected to believe it’s just down to the training not being intense enough 😂
[🟢] NEW: The intensity at today’s Manchester United training session was unprecedented, with senior players believing they now have what it takes to turn the season around. (@SimonStone)

All these people come out years later saying this stuff but when they’re in the good jobs all they say is how great the club is. How talented the boys are etc. I don’t know how they keep getting away with it
🤯 🗣️ Phil Neville on Man United's problems: “This is NOT a quick fix! I was part of the coaching staff with David Moyes when Sir Alex left, and after the glory days of success we had, I witnessed a DIFFERENT type of club. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! A TOTALLY different football club. The focus wasn’t on the football club, the manager didn’t have the FINAL say, and the manager couldn’t pick signings. The signings were based on how FAMOUS they were and how much MONEY they could make. I HATED it, and I was SHOCKED! What I experienced in those 10 months with David Moyes is NO different to what José Mourinho, Louis van Gaal, Ruben Amorim, Ole Gunnar, Ten Hag and now Michael Carrick are facing. The club needs sorting from TOP to BOTTOM!” [@CBSSportsGolazo]

Seen a few saying they’re glad Carrick is staying as he’s not the issue and we can address the root cause What exactly makes people think now he’s staying we’ll suddenly sort all the issues out? The way I see it he’ll just carry on working with what he’s given and be thankful

Carricks situation sums up how pathetic the club is. They’re not keeping out of loyalty, if that was the case even if you didn’t agree you could understand. They’re keeping a manager nobody has faith in because they can’t afford to sack him and don’t know who to replace him with

Last season it was all about how we can’t realistically sell a whole squad of players and we need to play to the groups strengths. A back 4, Bruno as a 10. Mainoo must play. The manager can’t keep falling out with players he doesn’t want. This year it’s different. What changed?

Maybe one or two of them do but a lot of those players still try very hard but they’re simply not good enough. Either technically or mentally they’re just not strong enough. We need to stop pretending they’re an amazing bunch
🚨 Gary Neville on the players: “They’ve downed tools and they’ve done this a number of times. They decide when to switch it on and off like a tap.” [@SkySportsPL]

Top reds used to post essays on why ole was a better manager than Mourinho As United fans you hear these people’s opinions every day and they influence so many It’s a club that doesn’t want to progress and a fanbase that doesn’t want to progress

When a manager gets sacked, and let’s be honest we’re a sacking club and can talk with authority here you either are buzzing because you hate them or gutted cos you love them. With Carrick it’s gonna be a nothing feeling. No one hates him but everyone knows he’s not good enough

Nobody truly knows what’s happening in the dressing room atm. It will be interesting to hear if Carrick spills the beans in a few months on paddy mcguiness podcast

This time last year I really thought we were onto something. The results were improving and we were slowly getting rid of the rotten eggs, whether that be attitude or ability. Recruitment had been good in the summer and we had direction Now, we’ve maybe gone back 3 years
