If you believe privacy is a spectrum, then this table is for you!
Aztec is currently the only private programmable blockchain with censorship and surveillance resistance.
ps: I actually want more teams to be like us! Users need real privacy, otherwise, we are just repeating the big corporate way of deluding users.
Every privacy network claims selective disclosure. What they don’t say is who holds the keys.
Canton, Tempo, zkSync, and Starknet all put that control with an operator, a node, or a standing key.
On Aztec, control stays with you. Full breakdown here: aztec.network/blog/who-contr…

Ethereum already has private transfer capabilities.
In fact, Ethereum already has the most sophisticated, general-purpose, programmable private smart contract capabilities in the world.
It's called Aztec.
Aztec is a part of Ethereum.
It is as much a part of Ethereum as any of the less-advanced approaches to privacy, with all the hallmark commonalities:
- it has circuits whose proofs settle on Ethereum;
- its notes and nullifiers are broadcast to Ethereum;
- users can deposit/withdraw from/to Ethereum.
If those features form the essence of native Ethereum privacy, then Aztec is Ethereum's native privacy layer...
Aztec (and therefore Ethereum) is years more advanced than basic private transfers.
Aztec (and therefore Ethereum) is capable of executing arbitrary and private contractual terms in complete private.
Aztec (and therefore Ethereum) has achieved privacy.
Not only can Aztec do this, it'll also be fully private!
Aztec can do exactly this.
All of it. I’m so happy.
I can’t stress how exactly Aztec can do this.
Fast client-side proving on desktop and mobile, well under 1GB RAM.
Native, private account abstraction is already built into Aztec.
Think of a way to authenticate a user…
Eth signature / Safe multisig / Sign in with google / email / password=Hunter2 / a live video of your cat / a signature from Vitalik telling you he’s proud of you?
You can build Aztec smart contracts that can do this today. You’ll be able to provide your users with familiar and private access to Ethereum.
You can find my lovely slides that failed to see the light of day at docs.google.com/presentation…
Haunted by unreliable wifi 😅

Kudos to @mrnventuro for winging his talk, given his slides failed to load and had to present with only the initial slide. Rockstar level talk.

@smpalladino is a force of nature who is a huge part of what we're doing at Aztec. I feel very lucky to have him building with us. OG🐐
The man, the myth, the legend.
@smpalladino can't live tweet his own talk, so I'll do my best to substitute for him.

If we want to change the world, not just the tech layer, we need privacy as a foundation.
That’s why Aztec exists.

This has been exhausting, I have no idea how he manages. Unreasonably good at everything I guess.
Back to your regular programming at @smpalladino!
