⚡ MULTI-NATION RELAY: 1,399 KG OF COCAINE AND 50.12 LBS MARIJUANA SEIZED IN THE CENTRAL CARIBBEAN 🌊🚫 In a high-intensity maritime operation, JIATF-South mobilized with our partners from the Netherlands, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic to execute a massive drug interdiction targeting known trafficking routes. The pursuit began when a @Southcom Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) detected a suspicious "Go-Fast" vessel 108 nautical miles south of Palenque, prompting an immediate alert and a high-speed, coordinated response. As Dominican Republic forces moved in for the pursuit, a seamless aerial relay unfolded to maintain constant visual control, passing tracking in real-time from the U.S. MPA, to Dominican Republic air assets, onto the Colombian Air Force, and finally to a Dutch MPA. Guided by this synchronized international intelligence, Dominican Republic interceptors closed the distance and successfully captured the Go-Fast vessel 87 nautical miles south of Punta Salinas, detaining three Dominican Republic nationals and seizing 55 bales of cocaine totaling 1,390 kg. and 50.12 LBS. of marijuana. By cutting off this massive shipment, our joint forces introduced total systemic friction into the illicit transit pipeline, degrading threat networks operational capabilities and logistics networks. These detection and monitoring efforts directly support @DeptofWar-directed, #SOUTHCOM/@Southcom-led operations to disrupt narco-terrorist networks in the Western Hemisphere and protect the homeland. #MaritimeSecurity #JIATFSouth #DrugInterdiction #JointOperations #Southcom
