Haley Stevens isn't dumb.
She knew before she backed Mike Rogers that she was abt to become the Democratic Party's greatest pariah this cycle. And that she'd never resurrect her political career if she did this.
If AES loses, she gets blamed. If he wins, she looks weak.
There is no political upside to what she did.
And yet she chose to do it anyway. Bc clearly she felt it was the right thing to do -- despite all the voices in her ear telling her not to.

Deplaning with @AmericanAir at @flystl tonight with less than a minute to go in game and down by 1. Pilot sees my Cyclones jacket and says, “Go, Cyclones.” Then I look down at phone and see we kicked the FG to win! Pilot good luck charm!!!
