On the night of January 8, 2026, in Sadeghieh, Tehran, according to the account shared in her memory, Nasim was returning home as crowds were leaving the streets when she was struck by live ammunition in the head and neck and killed. Just like that, two children lost their mother. A husband lost the woman he loved. A family that had left home together would never be whole again. And then came something almost impossible to put into words. According to the account, security forces prevented bodies from being collected, leaving Nasim’s husband to carry his wife’s lifeless body in his own hands for more than an hour. Imagine those sixty minutes. The woman whose hand he had held through life was now motionless in his arms. The mother of his children.
