HEY EVERYONE REMEMBER WHEN TRUMP WAS IMPEACHED FOR DENYING AID TO UKRAINE BECAUSE HE WANTED ZELENSKY TO LIE AND SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT BIDEN AND ZELENKSY WOULDN’T DO IT?
Maybe literally one fucking American newspaper could mention this in their, “think pieces,” about what happened yesterday.

if you don't get philly you just won't ever get philly...most beautiful city in the world. sensational and mundane, frozen over and literally melting...hot as ice...it's the kind of city they wrote great literature about for hundreds of years. Paris of the west? no! it's Babylon.
Attended a barely-announced community meeting for the Facilities Planning Process today. My comments (made there in front of so many of the #phled twitter folks I follow! So nice to match faces with names!) continues to be - where is the data?
Back when we were in an earlier stage of an earlier process more data was available and we could compare schools and look at regional trends. Now we are at a later stage of the game, on an abbreviated timeline, and the comparative data just isn't there!
Heading to jury duty this Halloween morning. I, for one, am hoping for a very special holiday edition of the Philly Courts. Will there be costumes??
I need to add that I LOVE jury duty and the cross-section of the city gathered together for the civic duty of it all. I deeply relate to the folks in the intro video. #socialstudiesnerd

The children are always ours, every single one of them, all over the globe; and I am beginning to suspect that whoever is incapable of recognizing this may be incapable of morality.

The former 17-year-old-obsessed with Mrs. Dalloway in me agrees.
(Oh, and it is not the HS teachers, but rather the sliced, diced and boxed curricula that pushes novels out of the classroom.)

So confused by this article! It seems like it is going to get into the deep dissatisfaction & valid frustrations many of us have w/ the new ELA curriculum, but comes off as a hype piece!

70 high schoolers were excellent (virtual) debate-watching company, but the best debate buddy was my daughter….even though she said, regarding Harris’s facial expressions, "it's like she's you, mom, but with a little more control.” #didimakethatfaceoutloud #IYKYK
Once again, debate-watching virtually with @BodineHS teenagers is THE way to make these viewing experiences worthwhile. We have about 20-30 kids engaging on a message board really digging into the issues! #thekidsareallright #debatewatching
They're researching issues in real-time. They're making cross-curricular connections. They're joking. They're jumping in & out and keeping me focused for these two hours (also spent w/my 10 year old news-junkie). Also I've had to look up a lot of new slang/emojis. #alwayslearning
Over 70 different students participated tonight! More than half were seniors, with a sizable group who will be 18 by November 5th. They're informed & thoughtful and while they consolidate around some issues, there was a variety of opinions & ideas in the mix. #votethatjawn
Truly charming piece of sports journalism!

Did you hear today is James Baldwin's 100th birthday? Do you feel like you should have read him by now?
We have a chart for that!
AND we made a James Baldwin page browsable by genre (since he was a genre-defying genius): roomofonesown.com/james-bald…
Wait! There are TWO athletes competing while 6.5/7 months pregnant? The Archer from Azerbaijan and the Fencer from Egypt! I’m in awe of these badass ladies. #OlympicGames
