I have some amazing news. I have been appointed to and accepted to be a member of the John Newbery Award Committee for 2026! Can you believe it? I hardly can. It's the best thing ever!

Even if you don’t care for baseball one bit, this flow chart is super funny!

Whoops, slept through the final out.

I like how the announcers assume Vilade put more thought into "get this guy out/catch this ball" than considering if he should catch it or not when it might give up a run.

I hate that this sounds like a Milwaukee home game.

I tried to go to work today. I lasted all of 1 hour before saying nope, I'm too sick, going home.

Does the broadcast know they're in Tampa? Why are they only showing Brewers fans?

I wonder who would win - 2005 White Sox or 2026 Brewers. Thoughts?

Anyone know why the ball bouncing at Rays Stadium looks like a spray of water coming up in the grass?

Oof, Brewers are up 10-0 AND pitching a one-hitter. #LetsGoRays?

Do I know any library department heads who have autism or another neurodivergence?

Do I know anyone who is a Lego person who has tried BrickCraft? They claim their instructions are easy-to-use, but are they?

Kudos to Cairo Santos on his personal best 58 yard field goal! You da man.

Omg I was filling out a survey, and it said "Next page" and I wanted to see what was on the next page before I filled everything in, but some stuff you had to say Yes to, so I said Yes, clicked "Next page," and it said, Thank you for taking our survey. 😳

I'm so excited to have #KidLit author, Audrey Perrott, join me on the Writing While Impaired blog this month. Audrey is an amazing author and cancer surviver. She shares a glimpse of her journey through both. #picturebooks writingwhileimpaired.substac… #chronicillness #cancer

Every day that I'm able to get up and go to work and do regular human things, I am so grateful, because last year at this time I was nearly bedbound.

Oh my gosh you guys, this is me. I can walk but I can't stand still. "Static Load Fatigue: Standing still lacks momentum (unlike walking), which forces tired muscles to over-work and guard against collapsing under gravity."

Another reason why I think I might have EDS even though I don't have the testable hypermobility things. My thumb doesn't reach my forearm, my skin isn't crazy stretchy. The last doc I went to for a diagnosis asked me no EDS symptom questions.

I'm almost done with the #DeweyReadathon! Or at least the 12 hours I wanted to get out of it. It technically ends at 7 am CDT. Then I get to go to bed!
