Privacy in crypto is worth looking at beyond $ZEC.
At a reported $22.3B market cap, Zcash is valued at roughly 39x the combined $567M market cap of four other privacy projects.
Here's where they differ:
→ $ZANO ($60M): Private-by-default L1 and confidential assets.
→ $ZEN ($109M): Privacy infrastructure built on Base.
→ $RAIL ($149M): Private transactions and DeFi across EVM chains.
→ $ZAMA ($200M): Encrypted computation using FHE.
these aren't direct competitors.
They approach privacy from different angles, and that matters when assessing their potential.
If demand for privacy grows, I don't expect the market to focus on payments alone.
Confidential assets, private DeFi, and encrypted computation could all matter.
$ZEC has the market's attention. But if onchain privacy expands.
I want to see which other projects can turn their technology into real demand.

These levels don’t scare me.
I’ve watched zano:native go from under $1 to $18.18 (Jan 2025), back when all it had was:
• Hybrid PoW/PoS consensus
• Zarcanum (live since March 2024): private staking, hidden amounts
• Confidential Assets (private tokens)
• Ring signatures, stealth addresses, Pedersen commitments
That’s it. That’s what took it to $18.
Now, in 2026, look at what’s stacked on top:
• Gateway Addresses (HF6): verifiable balances for external integrations, paused pending third-party audit
• Thorchain, Maya Protocol, Near Intents: permissionless, no-KYC trading, set to return once that audit clears
• ZEL (Zano Execution Layer): bringing programmable smart contracts to the Zano ecosystem, while Zano L1 remains the privacy chain.
• Zenith: pure proof-of-stake, 15-20s blocks, full privacy preserved, testnet targeting Q4 2026
• fUSD: the leading private, decentralized stablecoin in the market, $10M+ in reserves, real-world spending via AEON Pay, CardsRelay, Zebec Cards
• A growing ecosystem on top: ZanoX, ZanoNames, Zano Quest, FreedomSwap, FreedomWallet
Same asset that hit $18 with a fraction of this. Most of what’s listed above isn’t even live yet.
I’m not saying history repeats exactly. I’m saying the pattern is worth paying attention to.

A private crypto coin that can be bought without KYC and easily spendable, what zano is building is to big to ignore.
this is what an actual privacy token should be.
Right now, every route in and out of ZANO runs through a centralised exchange. Some ask for your ID, some don't, but all of them hold your coins for you.
Getting $ZANO onto @THORChain would change that: no account, no KYC, and it does not care where you live or who you are.
@Mr_Kwibs explains why that is such a good fit for Zano. 🔒
