"A true king creates a kingdom wherever he is; he cant help it, he possesses the spirit of a king, everything he touches is esteemed and made richer. He extends a hand to the fallen and raises them up. His presence elevates the world around him. The real kingdom is where the king is."

No high aiming man should fear the labels cast by average consciousness towards him on his ascent to greatness. Passing through people's negative opinions is a rite of passage for greatness as your convictions will inevitably be tested by the doubt and criticism that finds itself at your feet on the journey to greatness. Without disobedience man would know no more or be no more than the neanderthals who preceded him. No planes would hurl through the sky, or beautiful buildings stand tall if it wasn't for man's original virtue. Disobedience. Oscar wilde said this many years before me

If you don't take the leap, don't delude yourself into thinking you're not making a sacrifice. You're sacrificing the man you could be if you hit the headshot. Most never shoot then wonder why their life fades into mediocrity

Feeling energized influences our mood, which influences our work in very direct ways. And feeling confused or disorganized in our work can have a terrible effect on us physically as well.

Many people including myself have lived that arc, the arc where you're dissapointed with youself, when you feel like you have wasted a lot of what you could've been and in my experience from numerous life experiences if you fully feel those emotions and dont runaway from them, but you dive into them, they often end up being the very things that point you in the right direction throughout your life, dont let a good crisis go to waste my friend. I have had many of those arcs where I have had to catch myself after falling, but we always come back better. Sometimes in life things take longer than others and sometimes in life battles are going to take far longer than you anticipated or expected and this is going to dishearten you for a short period but itβs about staying gritty in that stance where youβre doing everything in your power to move forward and internally you know you will get it eventually but you have to recognise that your work is being stored in this magical quantum chamber of a slingshot vortex and then sooner or later things begin to slowly work themselves out because you stuck to what you knew you needed to do and that was the key, the key is that you always always hammer yourself with an internal locus of control and you never let your mind slip from those internal markers than need to be hit
Detach from results attach to process
Never to early or late to become a winner my friend
Generational banger.
The lines about true excellence at the end.
Truly soul resonating
The thing nobody talks about when they talk about winning is the interior architecture required to sustain it which is a marker of your character, your integrity, your discipline and your internal discernment that is constantly getting challenged in one way or another; when winning excites you too much your central nervous system is still young
Anyone can win once via circumstance, timing, a fortunate collision of variables and a man who was simply standing in the right place when the wave arrived, this happens all the time
The soul based differentiation rubicon of winning across different terrains, different decades, against different classes of opposition, in different cities, in different industries, in different emotional climates; the continuous reinvention of his own cognitive operating system whilst keeping the core identity completely intact underneath all the renovation, continually developing the inner architecture of effective, smooth perception with every layer factored in as baseline without leaking context or energy internally whilst playing the external game perfectly
That is what most people are looking at without knowing what they are looking at when they see someone who has flown through the ranks of life and can do it everywhere in any direction at any moment, it's effortless competence expressed through holistic work and effort and reinvention and tweaking across time, a degree of epistemic openness and curiosity consistently applied across time not as a gimmick but as a honest expression of desire to ascend and learn
What separates the man who sustains it from the man who peaks and recedes is not talent or luck or network though all of those matter at various junctures. It is the capacity to hold chaos at the strategic level whilst projecting total clarity at the surface level simultaneously, indefinitely, without the performance ever cracking, not because he is performing but because across years of pressure the clarity became structural rather than cosmetic, he didn't stay calm; he became calm via learning to create enough space psychologically and spiritually between stimulus and response to express total dominance via correct skill selection cross references from past experiences, infact he consciously and continually went into chaos and brutalised his nervous system into competence, once you have committed to this path of brutality to improve your skills and you start taking big shots, you will get hurt for the first few months then you just become completely numb, to both wins and losses, everything is just a perpetual first party data innnovation source
Most high level decisions are actually simpler than they appear from the outside because the man making them has built a decision architecture refined by thousands of prior iterations, but the real tax is the loneliness of the cognitive altitude; the air is genuinely thinner and the further you develop your mental models you can depict layers deeper than most before you have opened your mouth, making a lot of men who are serious outliers very lonely, but guess what, the work is always your best friend and the work never leaves you and it is the purest expression of truth you will ever have, because it is reality continually updating to your newest innovations and adaptations to your own systems, what could be more fun that that
You cannot fully explain your thinking to most people not because you are superior but because the context required to understand the move you just made would take years to transmit and by then the game has moved on; so you move alone inside the decision, and you execute, and occasionally someone smart enough watches it unfold and says quietly, almost to themselves, that was not luck
The people who've genuinely made it are playing something that doesn't have a name yet, on a board they designed themselves, with rules that evolved organically from years of losing in interesting ways and extracting the signal from every single loss with the discipline of a scientist who refuses to waste data
Every setback got processed
The man who can do that continuously, without bitterness corrupting the data, without ego distorting the analysis, that man becomes genuinely difficult to defeat because he is running on information his opponents are generating for him through their opposition across time, every single thing in the way path improves his skill level and his cadence and his depth of approach
The psychological development required for this is not discussed because it is not linear and therefore not sellable because internet capital flow is dependent largely on simple ideas for impulse decisions, depth is missing because 99% of people are grifters at the spiritual layer
You cannot sell or buy these things; It emerges from a specific combination of high pressure situations encountered at the right developmental windows, processed with enough self awareness to extract the lesson rather than just survive the experience, integrated across time into a kind of wisdom that looks from the outside like charisma or luck or natural authority/godmode but what it is, is the accumulated output of a man who treated his own mind as the primary asset and never stopped developing it regardless of external conditions, who continued to smile at the pain and show up anyway
If your mind never switches off and if you can deal with that cognitive load continually you are going to win, I am comfortable saying my brain probably works 100x harder than a normal persons everyday and I have learned to enjoy thinking, it doesnt fatigue me anymore it actually invigorates me deeply because I have bridged into the place where every step is golden, every rep is smooth, every woman is infatuated, everyday is beautiful so I am willing to pay any price to continue improving my reality, I am willing to commit my very being relentlessly and continually across time to the fulfilment of both my potential and my destiny, everything else is so boring for me
The really beautiful, resplendent artifact which makes life a lot easier is capacity to continue internal construction of a project that never ended and never will despite how much effort is put forward becasue with each new material placed into the building, a whole new floor is born, true exellence is the dodecahedronic hydra of metacogitive capacities, which blossoms mostly in private which cost more than anyone watching will ever know, and produced a man who moves through complexity the way water moves, finding the path not by forcing it but by understanding the terrain at a level that makes forcing unnecessary because every moving aspect is immmediately internalised on reception based on the experience garnered prior
Inject this into my veins
It takes a psychopathic and sociopathic level of dedication to make it out of this system, you cant just want it enough to try when its convenient, if you want to be immense, top 0.0001% you have to push yourself to places that are not human
The sheer intensity of self command, the willingness to become indifferent to distraction, social approval, temporary discomfort and the endless invitations to dilute your own potential, delay gratification, cut costs, focus explicitly on a tiny number of variables for a fixed period of time, to not even entertain the possibility it can be any other way, you have to want it more than anyone else with an obsession that borders on madness, you're adapting whilst they're resting, dude is chilling with his girlfriend cuddling, you are in the trenches scheming more upward mobility, whilst they're complaining your hunting for edges and scanning relentlessly for your next advantage
You have to become extraordinarily selective about what receives access to your mind, your time, your energy and your future. Most people are not defeated by one catastrophic event, they are slowly yet surely disassembled by a thousand small concessions, weak friendships, poor financial decisions, fragmented attention, cheap pleasures, emotional volatility and years spent negotiating with standards they already know they must uphold daily relentlessly
Treat life as an integrated system, protect biology, sharpen judgement, accumulating capital, building competence and refuse to allow temporary emotional states to govern permanent decisions
Even when you're winning you have to be violently honest about where you are slacking and where you are losing momentum, even 30 minutes a day over a year is 182.5 hours, or about 4.5 full time work weeks, you must push harder and you must enjoy the process of knowing you are willing to go further than the next man,I can take more pain than you I can forget my emotions quicker and more repeatedly than you can, my decisions are more objective than yours are, I will outlast you in spirit and action
There is something almost frightening about the individual who can sustain intelligent effort for years without requiring the world to continually reassure him that victory is coming
He is not merely working harder, he is becoming increasingly difficult to interrupt, corrupt, discourage or disorganise repeatedly to turn his spirit, mind and soul into one organised system of task decimation for a broader task of fuliflling the committment he made to himself many nights ago
Decided today was the day to teach my son the difference between good and great.
I told him itβs twice as much work to close that gap.
Then to show him examples weβve been mainlining Kobe Bryant highlights and motivational YouTube videos straight to the dome.

I just came across these and have only listened on audio to the Dyson episode but definitely incredible work and passion on display.
Very few people in the podcast game have the triple threatβ make incredible solo episodes (monologue), are an incredible guest on other peopleβs shows, and are an incredible host for guests on their own podcast.
When helping @davidsenra create this show a year ago, I knew he had two of the three. Within 5 minutes of us recording with Daniel Ek (@eldsjal)βour first ever recordingβI knew Senra had all three. And, no surprise given his insane love of the game/ work ethic/desire, heβs only gotten better since then.
Huge thanks to everyone listening and sharing the show. Year two will be even better. Senra and the full @scicomm team is pouring everything we have into making sure of that.
Wow @bot is insanely fast now. I was used to saying something and then having time to do something else and wait for a response, but now it's just right back at me.
