I am deeply concerned by reports of another kidnapping attack at Nuru Suraj Estate, Millennium City, Chikun LGA, on the night of October 26 into October 27, with six people reportedly abducted, including two secondary school students. Millennium City is a growing residential community where families are building their lives and raising their children. It cannot become a place where residents live in constant fear of abduction. This attack comes barely days after the release of Ahmed Zakka, his wife and their six-month-old daughter, while other victims remain unaccounted for or reportedly in captivity. This cycle of abductions must end. We cannot allow kidnapping to become the norm in Kaduna. I commend the security personnel who responded to the latest attack. However, their efforts must be matched by sustained security operations to rescue those still in captivity, apprehend the perpetrators and prevent further attacks. I call on the Kaduna State Government, the Nigeria Police Force and all relevant security agencies to intensify intelligence gathering, strengthen security across Millennium City and neighbouring communities, and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. We cannot continue to welcome released victims at Government House only to face fresh abductions days later. Arrests, assurances and public statements must translate into tangible results. The safety of our people is a fundamental responsibility, and our communities must not be surrendered to criminals. The authorities must act with urgency. Rescue our people. Hunt down the perpetrators. Secure our communities. Make these attacks stop. May Allah protect our people and grant the safe return of everyone still in captivity. Signed Hon.
