Two young girls ran into the Spring Cottage pub on Elmore Green Road in Bloxwich this afternoon after being followed from Bloxwich train station by an unidentified man, who allegedly touched one of the girls inappropriately before attempting to follow them into the pub. A local parent reports that the same man approached her teenage daughter and her friend, who ran away frightened, before he was spotted trying to stop and speak to two other girls shortly before today's incident at the Spring Cottage. Other Bloxwich residents also reported a similar incident around two weeks ago, when two other young girls ran into the Sir Robert Peel pub and alerted staff after being followed by the same man. Police attended the Spring Cottage this afternoon and obtained the pub's CCTV footage. The man is described as an Asian male with dark hair and a thick black beard and moustache. He was wearing a grey and navy tracksuit with the hood pulled up at the time of the incident. Despite the reported incidents, West Midlands Police have yet to issue a public appeal or statement about the incidents. Residents in Bloxwich and the surrounding area are being urged to remain vigilant, and parents are advised to speak to their children about staying alert, avoiding strangers who approach them and seeking help from nearby businesses or staff if they feel uncomfortable or threatened. Nadia Murad was 21 when ISIS overran her Yazidi village of Kocho, Iraq, on August 3, 2014. Men and boys, including six of her brothers, were taken out and killed. Her mother was murdered because she was considered too old to be useful. Nadia and hundreds of other women and girls were loaded onto buses and taken into sexual slavery. In Mosul she was bought and sold seven times in three months. She was beaten, burned with cigarettes, and raped. An escape attempt brought further violence: she was gang-raped until she lost consciousness and beaten so badly she could barely walk. In November 2014 she slipped out through an unlocked door. A Muslim family hid her at risk to themselves and helped her leave ISIS-held territory. She reached a refugee camp and was later granted asylum in Germany. Instead of remaining silent, she chose to speak. In 2015 she addressed the UN Security Council and described the sale of girls as young as nine and the attempt to erase her people. Her testimony helped push the UN to recognize the Yazidi genocide in 2016. Thousands of Yazidis were killed in the 2014 attacks; thousands more, mostly women and children, were abducted. She founded Nadia’s Initiative to rebuild schools and clinics in the region. In 2018, at 25, she became the first Iraqi woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. In her acceptance speech she said the only prize she wanted was the release of every person still held captive. 12-year-old Lola Daviet was r*ped, tortured, and beheaded in Paris by an Algerian migrant woman. Dahbia Benkired, a 27-year-old Algerian migrant, "vaginally and anally penetrated" 12-year-old Lola Daviet while she was still alive. Benkired also forced Lola to perform sex acts on her, then slammed her head against a shower wall. Images shown during a court hearing showed visible traumatic injuries on her genitals. She also suffered 38 cut wounds on her back and neck before dying from asphyxia, due to being bound with duct tape. Lola's body was later found in a suitcase near her family home. Evidence later revealed a possible motive linked to North African folklore about "Zuhri" children. Zuhri children are described to have traits like blonde hair and blue eyes, believed to hold supernatural powers for locating buried treasures. Lola, with her blonde hair and blue eyes, fit this description. Rituals to "unlock" these powers can involve horrific acts, including human sacrifice, with one Moroccan incantation calling for the k*lling of a "white and blonde child". Benkired's phone showed searches for "human sacrifice," and Lola's body bore occult markings, suggesting a ritualistic intent. After her murder, Lola’s father drank himself to death. "He drank from morning to night" and "died of grief" in February of 2024, devastated by "his demons", Lola's mother said. Benkired was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of seeking early release for at least 30 years, becoming the first woman in France to receive this sentence.
