Tomorrow, His Excellency President @WilliamsRuto will lead in the Dedication and Official Commissioning of the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga Mausoleum at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, Bondo.
The occasion comes during #MweziwaBaba, the month dedicated to remembering and honouring the life, legacy and contribution of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, as the Nation marks one year since his passing.
Tomorrow’s s ceremony carries a profound significance.
A mausoleum is not merely a structure. It is a repository of memory, history and identity. It provides a physical space through which generations can encounter the story of an individual and understand the historical context in which they lived and served.
The completion of the mausoleum through the @kdfinfo marks an important milestone. Its transition into the stewardship of the @museumsofkenya
now brings an equally important responsibility to ensure that the site is professionally conserved, documented, interpreted and protected for generations to come.
The legacy of the late Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga is inseparable from important chapters in Kenya’s history. His decades of public life intersected with the country’s democratic development, constitutional transformation and engagement with Pan-African ideals will remain part of the historical record that future generations must be able to encounter and understand.
I commend H.E. President William Ruto for His leadership that has brought this National undertaking to completion.
