honestly not slating anyone who sincerely doesn't like the new games, but I think the way in which 'f' and 'Townfall' approach / expand upon the themes of the original games is so thoughtfully done and miles away from the empty fan service / lore callbacks they could've been

if anything, townfall makes me more optimistic for the future of silent hill. i like the decisions they took: multiple POVs + technology in the (stealthy) gameplay. also fond of how they explored collective trauma through class tensions, industrial decline, corporate greed, etc
