Happy 95 mama Teresia.
Tomorrow, we gather as one family in gratitude to celebrate an extraordinary milestone; 95 years of God's unfailing grace, faithfulness, and abundant blessings in the life of our beloved matriarch, Mama Teresia Onyuna. ❤️ Reaching 95 years is more than a birthday, it is a living testimony of God's goodness, mercy, and sustaining hand through every season of life. Mama Teresia's journey has been one of unwavering faith, resilience, wisdom, humility, and unconditional love. Through her prayers, guidance, strength, and steadfast example, she has nurtured generations, built a strong family foundation, and touched countless lives within our community. Today, her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, friends, and the many lives she has impacted over the years. As we prepare for tomorrow's celebration, we warmly invite family, friends, neighbours, and the entire community to join us as we offer thanks to God and honour a woman whose life continues to inspire us all. Date: Thursday, 6th August Venue: Holy Mass of Thanksgiving Location: Kagan, Homa Bay Reception and fellowship will follow immediately after Mass.

Google is getting more info about my family's contributions to indigenous rights advocacy & it reminded me of this tweet from 2021. We need to tell more of our stories.
Indigenous nations in present day Tanzania are rarely given credit for fighting Arab slave traders & ending the Indian Ocean slave trade. One reason colonizers didn't seek slaves from Eastern Africa was because of the anti-slavery movement in Tanzania.

The argument that financial stagnation stems purely from a scarcity mindset completely breaks down when facing severe structural constraints. Even the most disciplined, economically conscious individuals remain fundamentally broke if they are severely underpaid and trapped in a hand to mouth cycle where survival costs consume their entire baseline income. An abundance mindset can only push an individual as far as their environment allows. With privileged people having an upper hand at life. Without critical economic infrastructure such as fair wages, active job creation, financial literacy and accessible professional pipelines, internal drive remains mostly a dream, frozen by a system that leaves absolutely no room for execution.

I spent years asking one question. Why did countries like Singapore, New Zealand, and Denmark become prosperous while countries like mine stayed poor? People gave me every answer you can imagine, from colonialism and education to natural resources, culture, and the ugliest theories about Africans themselves. But none of those explanations answered the part that bothered me most. Why do the same Africans who get stuck back home suddenly build, work, and thrive when they move to a country like the US? The answer was sitting right there. Africa is the hardest region in the world to do business, and we keep pretending the problem is our people instead of the rules around them.

Unfortunately, it is not only them. Hotpoint does it, Furniture palace does, odds kenya does it. You just have to choose a section and screenshot it and wait for when they announce offers, then go and check through the items. Utashangaa sana.

There are pirated copies of #ThePolygamist being sold at Affordable Books in Nairobi along Ronald Ngala Street. I know the book is in demand & I'm working to make it available there through a reputable supplier. Copyright infringement is a crime. Don't support the violation!

Kenya has never had an ebola outbreak linked to bush meat consumption. That's why GoK spent years trying to convince us bush meat consumption will boost tourism. This is top tier ignorance

If no one goes to prison because of this, we've really failed as a people.

Every time school dormitories burn down with children in it, no one ever talks about architecture as death traps. Who thought this was safe?
