It’s my husband’s birthday and I’m trying to find a picture to post, so I’m scrolling through my phone album with at least a hundred pictures of us dating back over 10 years. Every picture unlocks a memory and I smile. I scroll to the next and I smile again, I look at another picture and smile, our engagement, smile. Our wedding, smile. Welcoming our first son, smile. Navigating parenthood together, vacations, welcoming our second son, looking at you raising our 2 boys… At this point, I’ve smiled so much I’m starting to cry. 🥹 I look at my husband and whisper, “Thank you God!” I didn’t know what it meant for a man to be “all in” until I met you. For a man to choose you, it doesn’t matter your flaws, your issues, or the challenges that come with life. Just all in on the decision that I will love you with everything that I am, now and always. And then to watch him never waver from that decision through every argument, every challenge, every season, and every curveball life throws at us… that is something I never take for granted. Every day you show me the meaning of commitment. You show me what loving, supporting and leading a family looks like, what putting your partner first and foremost looks like. You are kind, generous, loving, stable, unyielding and deliberate in the way you show up for me, your kids, your family and everyone around you. I celebrate you today as you turn 40. I thank God for you and I pray that life keeps getting better and better for you. All your hard work, your dedication and your efforts shall be rewarded with overwhelming success, way beyond your imagination, IJN. I love you so much, more than I can describe in a post, and I can’t wait to see all that God is doing in you continue to materialize into wondrous things before our eyes. I am so proud to be your wife. So proud of the man you are. And so grateful that I get to do this life with you. Happy 40th birthday, baby 😘❤️ Cheers to many, many, MANY more years together! 🥂❤️ @SgtShow01 #SgtShowAt40

POTUS "Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries"
Trump just approved a strike on terrorist camp in Nigeria as an holiday strike... You lot will wake up to the news... You ask when we're coming. We are here... Terrorists apologist...remember I asked you to put body.. Now is the time.

I went for a stroll this morning in Barcelona, the weather was perfect, so why not? As always, walking clears my mind, sharpening my thoughts like nothing else. But doing it in an unfamiliar city? That threw me a fresh set of bones to chew on. My eyes clocked new sceneries and structures, and my brain devoured it all. Every sense was alive, buzzing with excitement and craving more. Then it hit me: Here I am, wandering through this while my heart is torn. I live in America now, in a very good neighborhood, scratch that, an excellent one. Before that, Nigeria, where I still feel half-anchored. And today? A walk in Hebron, Barcelona, in a specific area that’s far from upscale. A low-class neighborhood, at least to my eyes. What I saw there led me to a gut punch of a conclusion: Nigeria isn’t going to make it. Not in the way the yawning masses want it to, anyway, their dreams are galaxies from the current reality. Bear with me. This Hebron spot sits somewhere between today’s Nigeria and my American suburb. I witnessed a quiet hum of commerce: people going about their business as if it were ordinary, no flashy wealth in sight, but a palpable sense of peace. Streets were clean, shops opening their doors, folks hopping onto bikes, scooters, or buses, heading off without a fuss. Yet I could spot the gaps—the sidewalks needed patching, the streets felt old and unrefreshed, the whole neighborhood had a faint air of wear, though it was still neatly maintained. My mind drifted to Nigeria, and I found myself wishing this for them. Not even the pinnacle of what a place can be, but still a million miles ahead of where they stand now. That’s when reality slammed home. That’s when I realized we’re doomed. It dawned on me: It’ll take forever because we’re not inching forward—we’re retrogressing, accelerating backward at breakneck speed. But no one is coming to catch us. No one is coming to help. All we have is us. Hell, if anyone even glances our way, it’s to shove us further back, because it doesn’t help that we crave what they have. Nigerians, please don’t stop asking for a better place, don't settle mediocrity. The world is beautiful; I wish you all could experience this. Nothing is as beautiful if we can’t feel it together. Please keep asking—don’t be deterred. Your country can get better. Maybe not the greatest, but at least apply the brakes to this backward flow. Then, maybe one day, you’ll find the strength to move forward.

Few days ago, I honored the invitation of my alma mata (SLU) to speak with the graduating set of 2024 (ABSN). When I got the invitation I was perplexed, me, ọmọ iya alapo, what do I have to say to this brilliant minds, how would I step on the podium. I didn't speak proper English till the age of 16, all thanks to my second mum who took me in at that age (story for another day). I was told I'm not a university material when I managed to graduate from secondary school, because of that, I was made to learn tertiary skill at 19 against my wish (land surveying). But like every 19yr old in Nigeria, who ever feed you make your decision for you. It is hard to not listen to people who have the power to speak to you, expecially when they're saying things you know for a fact isn't true to you. But if I can do it, anyone can definitely do it. Today I have 3 degrees (on the right part for the 4th), because I rewrote my part, I tuned out the inconsistency, and now I'm worthy of those invitations and my small wins. I just want someone out there to know, should you be having such a hard time, don't stop trying, it is okay to have an humble beginning, don't let it define who you become. There is light at the end of your tunnel, you can only see it if you keep going. DON'T STOP!!!

Dear @Arsenal, I'm sorry I wouldn't be able to witness whatever is gonna happen tomorrow as I'll be in uniform. Regardless of the outcome, be it victory or victory. You'll still be my number one love, the reason I fell completely in love with football. Our season has been so great, irrespective of whatever the rival fans might believe and say. My respect for the whole team has grown tremendously, all thanks to the boss @m8arteta, I know he'll do even wonders next season and I can't wait to at least watch a game at the Emirates this September as I celebrate my birthday.

She has 20 grand kids. She has taken turns in raising all of them! All. This are mine and they'll miss her presence in our home as much as I will. She said "please bring these kids home to me, let them come and know their grandma's house"... Yes mama, they'll be coming soon.

She spent the last few weeks packing and repacking her bags! Because she has traveled soo much, she has lot and lots of cloths here in the states. She doesn't want to leave anything, she said it'll be useful for other people at home.
