Very excited to share our recent paper in @JElectrocardiol on our experience @TempleHealth with Bachmann's bundle pacing (link 👇🏽) @dredcronin
BBp corrected interatrial block with marked reduction of PWD compared to sinus and RAAp ⚡️

(2/3) Key takeaways:
⭐️ Still consider CCM in your CRT patients…1/3 of CRT patients are NON-responders
⭐️ Remember, no proven mortality benefit (outcomes focused on QOL)
⭐️ Septal placement is key to avoid symptoms from CCM stimulation (versus free wall/AV groove)
(1/2) Standing room only…check out the CCM therapy session happening now in Rhythm Theater 1!!
Powerful message…thinking beyond GDMT and ICD’s, GDMT does not help HF patients FEEL better and residual risk remains high

ASCEND EV results (n=18-19, Croatia/New Zealand/Paraguay):
⚡ Defibrillation: 94% at implant → 100% at 3 months
📡 Sensing: 100% with 4 different ICD manufacturers
🩺 No P/T wave oversensing, no pericardial effusion, no myocardial damage
⚠️ 2 inappropriate shocks from household EMI (microwave, washing machine) — being addressed in programming guidance

What about physiologic pacing in the A? 🤔
Interatrial block ➡️➡️ AF, stroke
Bachmann's bundle pacing has favorable effects on the paced P wave and restores electromechanical synchrony (A-A and A-V) ⚡️
A retrospective cohort study from @TempleHealth: sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
Very grateful to my mentor @dredcronin for his unwavering support on this work! 🙏🏽

#EPeeps if you're implanting an atrial lead, which P wave would you like? Read all about Bachmann's bundle pacing here, from @nat_ved @IsraelCarsten and myself.

Very excited to present our paper on Bachmann's bundle pacing out now in @ESC_Journals ⚡️ 📚

This novel approach has physiologic implications, including enhanced AA and AV synchrony.
I love the 'before and after' showing A wave nearly on top of QRS (and diastolic MR!). After BB pacing, there is clear separation of A wave before onset of ventricular systole.
Very grateful for the opportunity to collaborate on this review with my mentor @dredcronin and @IsraelCarsten.
Stay tuned for more on the @TempleHealth experience with BB pacing! 🤓
