Everyone has a take today.
American Moment’s is dropping soon.
A message on the midterms from CEO @NickSolheim coming today. Stay tuned.
If anyone tries to throw me in the gulag I’ll show them my Halloween costume was “Mrs banks as sister suffragette” and hopefully they’ll spare me

Republicans are currently divided on the question of “Who to throw under the bus?”
Democrats are currently divided on the question of “Which hand should we overplay?”
there’s a town council race in parrottsville which is in cocke county TN and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law both earned exactly 38 votes each and now the town can’t decide who is the winner because there are no provisional ballots or anything and I think this is maybe one of the funnier electoral outcomes from last night
enough blackpilling. everyone please enjoy this photo of my baby and her first birthday cake
(in retrospect the haunted spooky slightly ominous USA midterms theme was a little too on-the-nose)
As part of my wedding registry I accidentally received 10 of these (like someone bought me one but the warehouse accidentally sent me 10) and I stuffed stockings with the extras at the family Christmas that year. No one seemed to mind they all got the same gift from me, it’s a good stocking stuffer

two of my very favorite people
Election eve podcast with @KurtSchlichter drops in half an hour
There was a family out in their yard with a fire pit, charcuterie, candy, and I def took me some prosciutto and a wedge of cheddar and said oooo thank you happy Halloween and then strolled off but now I’m considering maybe I shouldn’t have done this?
I’m formulating a theory on this. I think the price point of my neighborhood in McLean is very comparable to the price of a decent family neighborhood in parts of Orange County (except for the taxes) but it’s not absolutely the case that it’s so expensive to raise a family in OC that there are no kids on Halloween.
New theory is that the jobs near McLean are very social in nature: lawyers and lobbyists and politics and such, so these people and their children are comfortable socializing with strangers.
In Orange County the default job was normally some type of tech worker, and although many of my neighbors had kids, we rarely interacted with each other. Maybe tech workers are just shy/introvert coded and with enough of them in an area, people stop feeling comfortable sending their children to go knocking on the neighbors doors

Finally I feel seen as a Lutheran.
Presidential Message on Reformation Day:
From the earliest days of our Republic, prayer and faith in Almighty God have stood as the foundation of our strength, the source of our unity, and the fount of our greatness. This Reformation Day, I send my best wishes to the countless Christians across our country commemorating the Protestant Reformation and its enduring message of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Five hundred years ago, William Tyndale — inspired by the work of Martin Luther — advanced the Protestant Reformation’s devotion to Holy Scripture through the publication of the first New Testament printed in English, shaping the language of the Bibles that would fortify the faith and resolve of America’s founding generation.
The Sacred Scriptures helped form the religious convictions that formed our young Nation’s founding ideals of God-given rights and individual liberty, a spiritual inheritance we honor as we continue to reflect on 250 glorious years of American Independence. The Bible remains a cornerstone of our Nation’s character and upholds our steadfast devotion to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Guided by an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, my Administration is working to restore the moral and religious foundations that have sustained our Republic for generations. As President, I will always support citizens of faith and defend their place in the public square, honoring the enduring role of our churches in strengthening families, serving communities, and preserving the core values that have anchored us across the centuries.
As Christians across our country unite in faith and fellowship this Reformation Day, I send my heartfelt prayers for a meaningful celebration and encourage each of you to draw renewed strength from God’s Word as we carry forward the blessings of faith and freedom throughout our beloved Nation.
