Update: I've added Y-BOT alongside SOMA to the Locomotion Controller Project. Switch characters, tweak locomotion settings, and test starts, turns and foot placement on stairs and ramps. You can try it here: naurk.itch.io/gam-project Better with a joypad. #godot #Indie #indiedev

After a long time tinkering with character locomotion, AI helped me build this fairly complex controller for Godot as a side project. It uses state machines to drive 260 generated and refined animations. Playable in the browser: naurk.itch.io/gam-project #GodotEngine #gamedev

#Gemini 3.6 Flash is totally useless: in Antigravity, it couldn't even properly detect how much VRAM my machine has.

I agree with him on this one. Opus 5 handles edge cases well, but for everyday coding it feels more expensive than useful compared to 4.8. For daily coding, 5.6 is still a better choice. youtube.com/watch?v=xLwd9zgX… #AICode #Claude #LLM #Programming #AI

Forgot to post this here. 5 years of solo dev in Godot 3, entirely pre-AI. Joining the club of devs who threw themselves into a failed odyssey, came out with exactly $0, but gained a ton of experience. youtube.com/watch?v=kzSRbKbG… #gamedev #GodotEngine #solodev

Some rough experiments with #Godot4 and physical light: incomplete fire shader, rain, volumetric fog, real first person, active ragdoll. Soon I'll post a youtube video with all the stuff I've created this year. #IndieGameDev

My first #nerfstudio render. Really fun, love #Nerfs!

Having some times to play with #Godot4. Testing new graphical features: SDFGI + Physical Light Units + Volumetric Fog & Light. Plus my nightmare: camera collision in narrow spaces. Looks good, despite video compressio & performance. #gamedev

#Godot3 vs #Godot4 : direct visual comparison of the same scene with almost identical settings. Find the differences: shadow acne is one.

Digital twin of a lab's room for robot simulations purpose made in #GodotEngine. Actually there are some errors in the reconstruction 'cause is a #workinprogress. Soon I'll post the same scene in Godot4: incredible, but for the moment Godot3 performs better with same settings.

My YouTube account was hacked and eliminated. I'm choosing to pause and reflect. #PAUSE

The last big feature of Scatter 4 is done! Now I can focus on bug fixing and UX 😀 (On a completely unrelated note, I don't want to deal with merging arbitrary polygons with holes ever again 😫) #GodotEngine

Starting to port my project to #Godot 4... Now testing the terrain, but a lot of things have to be done to optimize it. Same textures and heightmap images are used in this comparison.

This algorithm can reconstruct an audio by analyzing minute vibrations of objects depicted in a video. In this experiment, intelligible speech was recovered from the vibrations of a potato-chip bag photographed from 15 feet away through soundproof glass ow.ly/SIdV30n37Hg
